Re: UK hospital introduced world’s first burqa-style hospital gowns
That translation is wrong.
It means that women should cover their bodies and wear lose clothing so that the curvature of their body is not visible through their clothes
it doenst say anything about covering them from head to toe with a black sheet so that only their eyes are visible
women in arabia were dressing like that before Islam came and thus Arabs modified Islamic interpretations to suit their needs and maintain the status quo
its not just relying on translations about understanding the philosophy and history of Islam

I am a hard core Sunni Muslim
I grew up in Saudi Arabia, lived 4 years in Makkah, has done the Hajj, done Umrah and Tawaf numerous times. Pray atleast once a day.
See my comments to you suggest that I am so far away from Islam that I am no longer a Muslim but its you and people like you who have accepted the status quo without even questioning the legitimacy behind such things.
I bet you never bothered to ask about the Hijab, Burka or other such things and just accepted them.
This is what is lacking in Muslims these days. There are no scholars, no philisophers in Islam like we had in 10th and 11th Century before Hulago burned down Baghdad in 12th Century.
Muslims today have become mindless zombies instead of rational thinking individuals who debate like they used to during the glory days of the 10th and 11th Century. And any person who tries to instigate debate is called a Heretic, like I was called yesterday when vroom and lajawab wanted me banned from gupshup
Re: UK hospital introduced world's first burqa-style hospital gowns
Astaghferullaah, if Muslims themselves are mocking Islamic attire what can we expect from the Kuffaar?
If you've not got the strength of Eemaan to practice something yourselves atleast have the decency to respect those that do..
Have you no shame or fear of Allaah in your hearts?
The slightest mockery of religion is a shortcut to apostasy, I suggest you all do taubah.
Honestly, shame on you, you're not funny, what do you guys expect by such behaviour? Brownie points from your masters?? It's evident where your hearts are, it's people like you who the scriptures talk about when they say "you are of those who you love and you'll be raised with them on the last day...."

Sad
dont flatter yourself, the reason behined that thread was not because of your arguments but rather shameless posts. your just a flooder rather then a genuinely good debater like you think. you have no pakistaniyat.

I'd disagree. I'd disagree. He puts up an argument and you're avoiding a response. Instead you've targeted merc himself. Show us where in the Quran it mentions the Burqa. Not Hadiths. Quran.
You've got to accept the Burqa is not Islamic. It's an Arabic interpretation of what modesty is. Just like the Hijab is an interpretation.
The last time I checked being Muslim doesn't make you an Arab.
