Re: UK hospital introduced world's first burqa-style hospital gowns

Astaghferullaah, if Muslims themselves are mocking Islamic attire what can we expect from the Kuffaar?

If you've not got the strength of Eemaan to practice something yourselves atleast have the decency to respect those that do..

Have you no shame or fear of Allaah in your hearts?

The slightest mockery of religion is a shortcut to apostasy, I suggest you all do taubah.

Honestly, shame on you, you're not funny, what do you guys expect by such behaviour? Brownie points from your masters?? It's evident where your hearts are, it's people like you who the scriptures talk about when they say "you are of those who you love and you'll be raised with them on the last day...."

Re: UK hospital introduced world's first burqa-style hospital gowns

You are confusing "cultural attire" with "Islamic attire". Is there really such a thing as Islamic attire? This is someone's extreme interpretation of what is meant by dress with modesty.

Re: UK hospital introduced world's first burqa-style hospital gowns

Fraudz, I actually read that line with an internal Mortal Combat voice HAHAHA
Pop culture has merged with my mind.
I personally wish we had some gowns like that over here in the states. Mind you, I don't wear hijab or a niqab (just a dupatta from time to time), but the last time I was in the hospital, I had to wrap 3 hosptial gowns around me and walk very, very slowly so that they wouldnt fall off and expose my legs to everyone in the waiting room. I had to show my arms (I never go shorter than 3/4 sleeve, and that really has little to do with modesty for me), and had to cover my legs. They acted like it was an inconvenience for them to allow me so many gowns.

Re: UK hospital introduced world's first burqa-style hospital gowns

^i totally respect your view. that is good enough for me and others around me. yet i offer even more respect to others who go into sunnah.

on the other hand, its not even funny to think why anyone would have a problem with others wanting to wear this dress. is this a search, mock, malign and humiliate campaign against moslems? for gods sake everyone chooses their own standards of acceptability.

this isnt the first or last thing the uk will do to help its muslims or others elsewhere. god bless britain, ameen.

Re: UK hospital introduced world’s first burqa-style hospital gowns

How else to fit in with the western culture than to mock your own…

Weak values, that’s all…

I once posted a post here on GS about how mocking the religious values of Muslims who follow the Prophet (saw) is equal to mocking the Prophet :saw: himself…

Like, what if a Muslim grows a beard, starts to learn religious knowledge, starts wearing clothes that have been ascribed in Islam, in other words, tries to follow as closely as possible the teachings of the Holy Prophet :saw:…What in essence he is doing, is following the footsteps and trying to mimic the Holy Prophet :saw:…

So, mocking this person for how he is trying to dress and act is mocking how the Holy Prophet :saw: dressed and acted…

:maulana: <---- This smilie is a flagrant example of the level the Muslims have stooped to in order to be viewed as moderates or ‘easy-as-pie-Muslims’…Design a cartoon smilie of a Muslim, who is most probably trying to depict the Holy Prophet (saw) by wearing an Imama and growing a beard and then use it for effect…

The Niqab was observed by almost all of the Prophet :saw:'s wives in one way or the other…By equating their dress codes with the likes of caricatures, the ignorant amongst us show just how far their ignorance goes by caricaturing te wives of the Holy Prophet :saw:, our dear and beloved mothers, to characters from video games and cartoons…Very pathetic…

But hey, it’s cool to be viewed as cool and what could be cooler than standing on the sidelines and mocking the sacred and holy figures of your own religion…

To many, what I am saying will definitely come across as religious blackmail…But then, for them, telling them that Allah :swt: dislikes a certain thing is also religious blackmail…Their hearts are made of such a solid material, no words of guidance goes through…It just becomes tougher and more resistant to advice and change…

Re: UK hospital introduced world’s first burqa-style hospital gowns

Sem, you have never been out of your state let alone the USA and lived in any culture except your own…After being on GS for years and years, you still confuse the status of our Holy Prophet :saw: to that of Jesus :as:…

What the heck would you know of Islamic culture or religion?

Re: UK hospital introduced world’s first burqa-style hospital gowns

Its kinda funny to see that if a women opts to expose herself its her “right”, whetehr she does it anywhere in the world but if she choses to cover herself up, hell breaks loose.

Which gowns you want your women to wear?

Re: UK hospital introduced world's first burqa-style hospital gowns

First of all the Hijab and burka is not a part of Islam

Its a Persian tradition that Arabs adopted to subjugate their women

So this has nothing to do with Islam but its an Arab costume and by definition anything Arab becomes the official dress of Muslims

Re: UK hospital introduced world's first burqa-style hospital gowns

^For once know something about Islam b4 commenting.

Re: UK hospital introduced world's first burqa-style hospital gowns

I know enough about Islam to write a book on it.

Read something on Islam and challenge the status quo instead of accepting things like they are before questioning their validity

Re: UK hospital introduced world's first burqa-style hospital gowns

Women in Arabia wore the Hijab primarily becuase Sand used to get into their hair.

You still see it today, when Western Women travel into the desert, they wear a scarf on their hair so it prevents sand from getting in

Re: UK hospital introduced world's first burqa-style hospital gowns

^google hijab farz, niqab sunnah

Re: UK hospital introduced world's first burqa-style hospital gowns

Covering for the women is a command given in the Quran and the Ahadith...What you are quoting is some non-Muslim's version of what he thinks Islam should and should not be...

Muslim women around the world haven't been covering themselves for the past 1500 or so years because it was a Persian tradition...

Re: UK hospital introduced world's first burqa-style hospital gowns

merc2, frankly i do not wish to qoute quranic verses about hijab to you.

Re: May God Bless Britain

It's true. Wearing a Burqa makes you stupid.

*Lajawab, * I'm led to believe Islam says muslim men are perverted. That women need to wear garbage bags on their head to protect themselves.

Why do long beared, insecure men somehow always find themselves at the forefront of women rights ONLY when it comes to the burka. Why are they so intent on protecting womanhood? Maybe they fear their wife will fall for another man. Maybe a doctor.

If you follow the Quran, and I doubt you do, there is not one word that implies a burka or hijab. Instead, the quran only advocates modesty. The hijab, niqab, burka, are arabic just as much the keffiyah. It's about time the muslim world realizes it doesnt have to be an arab to be a muslim. Too bad progress for us comes through the words of a convict.

Burning the burqa is an affront to Arabic culture. Sorry to break it to you, but being Muslim does not mean being Arabic. Modesty is whatever a woman wants it to be. Not what an Arab a thousand years ago said.

Re: UK hospital introduced world's first burqa-style hospital gowns

Its not about scarf or anything else its about hijaab what our prophet (p.b.u.h.) had said about how a lady needs to cover herself.
