Maybe they are talking of mediators between them and the government. Wallah o alam. If Taliban khan can bring peace to the country, all power to him.

^^^ Only way he is going to bring peace to the country is if he agrees to surrender the country to Taliban. That was his plan for Swat. Thank God he failed.

They say , Ik can not be part of Taliban practically . Taliban should see hin in international prospectis .
Yeah . He has sons and daughter in west , and he make big money vide different type of donations .
Practically is very important word , Perhaps they wanted to tell the Taliban that actually he is their part .

Swat has been cleared, Karachi has taken its place. The operations have so far only shifted militants from one place to another. Karachi is gone, interior Sindh and Southern Punjab is almost there. Most of the dangerous groups are Punjab based LEJ, JEM, LET/JUD and HUM think :chai:

i was not criticizing you ali....you write well, mostly balanced with a viewpoint.... and i tend to read your posts, so i was in a position to reflect upon a certain departure in your tone and point out "pain/anxiousness/frustration" that suddenly crept into your posts post-taliban announcement..albeit unintentionally.

that is all...and like i said, it is not only you...many PTI supporters are extremely frustrated right now....sensing that now they have to live under a burden where their favorite leader will always be branded as a taliban spokesman..every major international channel has already broadcasted khan with that image...he will always be associated with this brand.....that Taliban trusted him more than anyone else!

and NO NO NO NO NO....IK never favored military operation..please dont twist facts....mentally/psychologically/physically/politically/personally..no matter how you look at it, IK does not want the military operation...what happened that in last 4 weeks taliban have done so much killing and there have been no drone attacks to blame ...thus pushing Khan into highly a frustration zone where he had to say "z-uck it man...fine go ahead do the operation"...otherwise he wants negotiations, which is fine..his moment has arrived.

He is right about the other parties, if you look at the broader situation, as even liberal parties other than Swat (a big consensus was there hence operation) didn't do squat about taliban in punjab, NWA or karachi sohrab goth. I'd also say that imran should be criticized so hopefully he can correct his ways as he was supposed to be a "transformational leader" as he himself said with his tsunamis and phaintay to the old guard.

Overall, it is a lose-lose situation. I just tend not to think about Pakistan anymore.

Guys my 2 cents... lets give these negotiations a chance...there is nothing better than avoiding the blood if we can.

Also, life is strange..it has brought all taliban supporters right in the middle of negotiation process.... irfan siddiquie, imran khan, major amir and all others support negotiations....so lets see if they can deliver..and if nothing comes out of it, i hope they support the military operation. I doubt it though..they will blame govt/USA for the failure and will create more division.

I guess the nightmare of pakistani army is coming true, but then they are to blame as well since they have a say in national security matters in Pakistan.

this makes no sense - how are these people supposed to negotiate on behalf of the TTP? how does that work?

maybe they think their nominees and the govt's nominees will play a round of basketball or something. either that or they are supreme jokers and are mocking the whole talks thing.

The thing is that one can ridicule Imran khan regarding terrorism as much as we want but the fact remains the state itself prepared these militants for specific purposes and are still supporting some groups. Until we realize this and force the state itself to change its stance nothing will change. Today Imran khan is the punching bag tomorrow it will be some one else.

ali, it is not abt punching bag and it is not about historical record...YES we all know pakistan army created these monsters and we also know our amry and establishment still supports many of these terrorist factions under the name of strategic assets...YES, WE KNOW THAT.. what we are talking about is the stand that every political party has taken. No one ever said that IK is responsible for creating these monsters. We are commenting on the stand that IK has taken....Imran Khan has taken a pro-taliban stand on terrorism. No one pushed him to take the stand.....it is that simple.

If anything, IK has created more division among masses on the issue of taliban than any other political party. IK has a huge fellowship and he never let develop a national consensuses against taliban by taking a pro-taliban stand. Do i need to remind you his pro-mahsood statements when that evil mosnter was killed? Taliban are his "own people"....

so by taking a pro-taliban stand and by not allowing to create a national consensuses, he actually helped those parts of army establishment who want to support "good taliban"

The people who voted and supported Imran Khan , They voted for modern and educated people .
They were called 'Burgers' but after a colation with terrorist JI , the man is now seen as a Fazalullah without bear .
If he has to do this , He should wait few months till he has a bear like Mahsood at least .

what if IK was a hardcore taliban-hater supporting a military operation, where would you stand then? would you be trying to convince IK to become a pro-taliban?

hell no....all these burgers and educated PTI voters do not believe in pro-taliban and negotiation policy at a personal level but such is their prejudice that they are forced to support IK no matter what....this is a typical political culture in pakistan where you will defend your leader no matter what
