What’s going on? On one hand there are sessions of peace talks is going on and on the other hand TTP continues to carry on their usual business without any fear. I don’t think Govt can deal with these savages through peace talks, they can only be crushed by force.

Socho jo 23 soldiers ko capture kar sakte hain woh khud kitni capacity mein hoonge. Army bhi bilkul 'khassi' hui wee hai, Karachi subse bada metropolitan city of Pakistan taliban k haath mein jaa raha hai par operation MQM k khilaf chal raha, lag raha hai Karachi mein TTP ki hukumat aane wali hai. Mere lye tu ek Musharraf hi hai jo mulk ko bacha sakta hai.

How many times have we seen these neandrathals drama? They use peace talks when their asses are being kicked to get some breathing room to regroup. Time and time again.
There should be discussion with these lowlifes... Not just listening to their demands. Talks are simple.. They want to play the public card... Same here, get out of civilian areas if you are all these mythical warriors you assume yourselves to be.. Then negotiations start, and the negotiations are a surrender of these jack holes with their top planners under house arrest minimum with no internet and no public role of any sort, all foreign fighters deported.
They have to disclose sources of funding and their moles in agencies and govt. if not, offer bounty on all taleban..double it if you are a taleban turning another in..and you get pardoned as long as you just disappear from this thug life.

i doubt the news is credible because if it were true the video of the captive victims would have been out by now showing the victims dead/alive.

They're claiming till now not yet proved but it's all over the news. Even if they didn't do this, they still doesn't deserve to be deal through peace talks.

Taliban are barbaric that goes without saying and without an iota of doubt. That they should be chopped off into tiny pieces and burn in the most horrific section in hell are only just wishes. But someone please tell me how come the 23 abducted men remained in TTP's custody since 2010?
If ours is really such a terrific military force as we are given to believe, I am sure Umar Khurasani would be dead before the announcement of ceasefire which is expected in next 24 hours. Let me see if the military can walk its talk.

It's strange that these guys were abducted by TTP four years back but the army did nothing for them. Kudos to TTP, they have given a big blow before announcing a cease fire. They'll now announce ceasefire with an upper hand. This is a propaganda war, and TTP is far ahead in this as compared to our government. It would be interesting to see the army and federal governments response now, this is a big provocation.

the silence from army over such killings is deafening. There has to be a solid plan to tackle these monsters. I think even if the full-fledged army operation is not launched, we should legitimize drones. If they attack, the counter strike drones and otherwise should be covertly launched and hurt them twice especially their leadership. This is one way to deter them. Before, hakimullah was killed, they were launching attacks left and right but after his death, we saw a period of silence despite their claims. Showing weakness and complacency will only strengthen them.
I think army is up for a long game. They are not happy over Musharraf case and government's complacent position and it seems they want the incompetent government should expose its weakness to the masses before they take some major action.

I feel sorry for those who were killed & I would say that an average solider serving in armed forces is brave, honorable & deserves respect. Sadly, same can't be said about the top brass. They are corrupt, just like politicians, and are worthy of nothing but contempt.

a cease-fire was expected within 24 hours but i just heard on Dunya News that Shahid Ullah Shahid has said that he could not contact the Mohmand Agency Commander and as a result he can NOT confirm or deny the execution of 23 FC personnel.
looks like the negotiations between the government and Taliban have been stalled and now a meeting of the committees on both the side has been called by maulana Sami ul Haq.
