Armughal, no one is rejecting all ahadith. Not all of ahadith are authenticated, specially the ones that go against what Quran says. Dont get your panties in a bunch, if you cant bother to read, kindly, dont bother to post in the thread either. Shukria.

hmm .. so the hadith could be authentic because those hoors are mentioned in Quran as well. The only thing is that hadeeth (as per it’s function) explained the Quran more precisely just like there are no raka’at mentioned for salah in quran but ahaadeeth explain it..
Quite logical.. innit

Right anwar Q - so the hadeeth explains Rakaat but the Quran doesn't - which means that the way the hadith explains it is not the mandatory way of reading namaz.
I always knew Anne was right when she talked about saying a prayer in the middle of a field (refer to Anne of Green Gables - volume 1)

nope. what is MANDATORY is in the Quran. What is optional is hadeeth. :)
Sunnah can't possibly be mandatory, otherwise logically, disobeying the hadith would be haraam.

AQ, Quran also states that knowledge regarding day of judgement is with Allah and Allah only. Now tell me again, Why would our beloved Prophet:saw: go against the word of Quran? We all know he will not, so I am sure you will agree that he probably did not make any prophecies regarding the day of judgement or rewards such as number of hoors.

me lady PCG, if the hadith talks about the same issue as Quran, you have to accept it as authentic and abide by it.

I think we also have 100’s of ahaadeeth about Al Isra wal meraaj.
PCG: that is not quite true because Allah says in Quran in surah Al Ahzaab:
33:21 **Ye have indeed in the Messenger of Allah a beautiful pattern (of conduct) for any one whose hope is in Allah and the Final Day, and who engages much in the Praise of Allah. **

then likewise the hadith talks about the issues of hoors and so does the Quran, so then there are 72 Virgins.

Phir say wohi baat... Hadith quoted is in complete contradiction to quran regarding the knwoledge of judgement day, hence, IMHO is not authentic. Get it. I cannot make it any simpler than this. You really will have to find that "nuskha: if you still dont get it :)

Kaleem bhai jaan: there are so many other ahaadeeth about what will happen on the day of judgement like what will be asked first, what will happen to certain people.. and then the hadeeth about who is the sahaabi:razi: whose name will be called from the all the gates of heaven… aren’t all those the same type of ahaadeeth what we are discussing here..?
as a matter of fact, the whole knowledge of such type of events come from Ahaadeeth alone.

Aq, i question all of them. Quran has stated specifically on more than one occasion " O Prophet:saw: say…knowledge of judgement day is with Allah". Look, I am not munkir-e-hadith, far from it, but when it comes to resolving issues like this, your safest bet is accepting what Quran gives you and leave the rest with Allah. That is the best we can do and Insh-a-Allah HE will guide us. Ameen

When I take something from Quran, I try to find **all **the references for it right from the Quran too to get the whole picture in perspective as it is said **Al Quranu yufassirahu ba’adahu ba’ad **that is - part of Quran explains the other… it is true the the knowledge of judegement day is with ALLAH:swt: but He also mentions few things what are gonna happen on that day in Quran - reference: surah Al Waqiah for instance… therefore, it is quite logical to think that out of His knowledge, He also passed part of it to Muhammad:saw:
It is also in QUran:
**"HE (Prophet) DOES NOT SPEAK (AUGHT), OF (HIS OWN) DESIRE:**IT IS NO LESS THAN INSPIRATION SENT DOWN TO HIM:
HE WAS TAUGHT BY ONE MIGHTY IN POWER,"
(Holy Qur’an 53:3-5).

Yes, that is true, but the fact remains that Allah clearly stated that only I have the knowledge related to day of judgement. Look, I am not saying that it is not possible that Allah did reveal some knowledge to Muhammad:saw:, its just not listed so in Quran.
