Torture at Abu Ghraib (MERGED)

I am in complete agreement. Yes, the behaviour of these soldiers is despicable, but the greater blame lies with their superiors, all the way to the top. In some respects these soldiers are being made the 'fall guys' for the likes of Bremner and Rumsfeld who should really be hanged for these crimes.
[/QUOTE]

Yes the senior people are the ones to blame but there is no sympathy for these so called soldiers who are fall guys.

They will only get slap on the wrist, and told don`t do it again, while their iraqi victims are either dead, psychologically scarred for life or disabled from the torture and abuse metted out by the GI Joes!

Why on earth would anybody pose with a dead body? I can understand the other pictures that were taken. They were to demean and humiliate the Iraqis. Why these latest pictures though? The guy is dead. Why pose with a dead body?

Honestly, Americans are so stupid. We know the Brits are also abusing the Iraqis, but at least they aren't stupid enough to take pictures.

What was that about Brits not being stupid enough to take pictures of them abusing iraqis!

Brits filmed abusing iraqis!

so much for the self-proclaimed morally superior ground the americans held....

Should we judge Muslims by the actions of a few as well lussi?

That is already being done by your media.

And some of us go back into hiding :)

It's not a big deal. Thinking what they did to 'living' bodies, the expressions of glee while posing with dead ones dont come as much of a surprise. These are just right wing hicks playing real life counter strike.

My media is doing nothing of the sort.

Yeah i think it's a good bet that majority of cons already think that way. Also, when will you come out of the illusion of the "actions by a few" thinking??

RedCross documented it as being a widespread abuse, Rumsfeld authorized it. It is crystal clear that those soldiers had the blessings of the higherups while humiliating and torturing iraqis.

I don't think the majority of Muslims are terrorists, are you suggesting otherwise?

Reminds me of the history of amerikkka which is littered with similar outrages and crimes such as what happened to the native indians who where scalped, masscred and the blacks in the civil rights era and previous to this when they was lynched tortured and abused!

Its just a re-run of history yet again!

Holy Shyte. It gets f ing worse and worse. Have you heard the latest reports of what the Americans did to teenage prisoners in Abu Gharaib. Just sick, twisted, disgusting. I can't beleive the things you can to doo another human being, for no apparent reason. Maybe the soldiers were bored. Absolutely unbelievable. And worse, we are supposed to accept these were isolated incidents by a few low ranking soldiers. Yeah Faaking right.

Correction.

Was Native Americans that initiated idea of scalping.

Yes. You are right that blacks were lynched.
