I think Pak should stick with the following for their top six batsmen against Australia no matter how they perform. They should be judged after three tests. Column 2 is batting average in Australia.

Faisal Iqbal DNP
Mohammad Yousuf 33.00
Umar Akmal DNP
Shoaib Malik 23.5

Re: Top Six for Tests vs Australia
Did you know that Hanif Mohammad averages 98.5 in Australia?
He played one Test in 1964 and scored 104 and 93.
Of the current lot, Asim Kamal (48.5) and Younis Khan (43.1) are only players to average more than 40.

Re: Top Six for Tests vs Australia
In the last 10 years, Pakistan has produced only TWO Test centuries in Australia - Salman Butt 108 and Mohammad Yousuf 111.

Yeah you are right, I guess 2 centuries in 3 tests isn't that bad. For some reason I thought they visited twice in 2000's.

Re: Top Six for Tests vs Australia
No Pakistan batsman has ever scored a double ton in Australia.
The highest Test innings is 158 by Majid Khan in the late 70's.
Re: Top Six for Tests vs Australia
Ponting averages 81 vs Pak in Aus .....so better be aware of him
Re: Top Six for Tests vs Australia
And the last time Pakistan scored 400+ runs in Aus in an innings was back in 1983. List :faint:

No double hundred even by the legends i.e. Dopey Inzi, Miandad etc?

Pakistan hasn't won a Test in Australia since before Inzi was born, so let's not blame him.
OK, that was a joke. Pakistan last won in Australia in 1995.
And in that game Inzi played a lone hand of 59 highest score in the second innings to win the Test. So phittay mooo on YOU and TENDULKAR.
you see Inzi wasn't after records of centuires..he played gems of innings to win the matches.
