Re: Top 10 reasons why Muslim men dont keep beards
So you dont beleive in the hadith ? If there is a hadith where Prophet(saws) commands to grow ones beard, you would beleive it?

Re: Top 10 reasons why Muslim men dont keep beards
PCG,
the difference in hadith have been materialized in different schools of thought, and also in different opinions within them. Differences in hadith can not lead to rejecting the hadithes entirely.
Re: Top 10 reasons why Muslim men dont keep beards
does hadeeth make something farz? or is that the domain of Allah to make something farz? There is a huge difference in my view regarding the prophet explaining something that is already commanded in Quran, because then there is no doubt, while ppl may disagree on the exact approach i.e. the difference in exactly how to pray salat..but ppl know that salat is commanded and that the prophet in his actions showed different ways of doing it.
When you see something that is not in the Quran, and just attributed to hadeeth, then not only do you have questions about whether it is authentic, but also how important is it, because if it was so important that your faith would be incomplete without it would Allah not have noted that in Quran.
This is also not a question of rejecting hadeeth, but a question of asking whather a hadeeth has the power to make something farz, i.e. a must do something without which your faith is incomplete.
Re: Top 10 reasons why Muslim men dont keep beards
Fraudia, Quran tells us to follow the Prophet saw, and the command to obey Prophet saw has occured in Quran more than 100 times, i am not sure if 113 is the exact figure, hence, one can't really say that if something is not mentioned in Quran its doubtful.
I don't knwo whether not keeping beard makes faith incomplete or not, but i think no body is saying it. I haven't kept beard untill recently and even the beard i have, some people refuse to accept it a beard, but, i haven't come across anyone who says faith is incomplete without beard, but i almost all clergymen agree that it is a Sunnah.
Re: Top 10 reasons why Muslim men dont keep beards
good so one does not have to have a beard to live in the way commanded by God and to be considered a complete muslim if he is following all the faraiz.
Thank you
Re: Top 10 reasons why Muslim men dont keep beards
They can keep but small. My friend father is also working in offshore and he has small beard.
Re: Top 10 reasons why Muslim men dont keep beards
^ but if we go by the definition I have been reading, the bard has to be the length of one fist for it to be considered a real musalmani darrhi. if its not then that long then what the diff between that and being clean shaven. I mean in that case u have a beard too which is a millimeter or so.
Re: Top 10 reasons why Muslim men dont keep beards
Ignoring the rule does not mean it is right. Ask your freinds father is he allowed to keep beard?
Anyway google H2S safety precautions for the correct answer.

Allah says in Surah A'raf, Ayah 157
"Those who follow the Messenger, the Prophet who can neither read nor write whom they find written with them in the Taurat and the Injeel, he commands them for Al-Ma'ruf; and forbids them from Al-Munkar; **he allows them as lawful At-Taiyibat, and prohibits them as unlawful Al-Khaba'ith**, he releases them from their heavy burdens, and from the fetters that were upon them. So those who believe in him, honour him, help him, and follow the light which has been sent down with him, it is they who will be successful"
The Messenger was given the authority to command and forbid the ummah.
And the only reason why there is no dispute about the Quran is because Uthman radiAllahuanhu burnt all unauthorized copies of the Quran.
In fact, the copies of the Quran at that time were different and this is the reason why these other copies were burnt.
Otherwise the same arguments that exist for hadith would also have applied for the Quran as well.
Re: Top 10 reasons why Muslim men dont keep beards
Islam is a complete way of life, everything is micro-managed from the way we go to the toilet to the way we pray to personal hygiene and how the natural state of the body should be maintained so that everything is in harmony... It'd be impratical to have all these details in the Reciatation (Qur'aan), the fact that the Qur'aan points us to Sunnah should be enough.
A lot of people seem to think that Sunnah is synonomous to optional which is not the case, some things from the Sunnah are obligatory and others are optional.
Re: Top 10 reasons why Muslim men dont keep beards
He has normal beard neither big nor very small, just like Pakistan previous prime minister zafarullah..i don't remember full name.
Re: Top 10 reasons why Muslim men dont keep beards
Yes he is allowed to keep beard but to a limited size so they can wear mask, i gave the reference in my last post in this thread.

Yes it certainly can do this!
Re: Top 10 reasons why Muslim men dont keep beards
I thought I'd share from what I've heard there are two opinions. One opinion is that it's got to be fist long, whereas the other one doesn't set a limit.
Re: Top 10 reasons why Muslim men dont keep beards
so my few millimeter thick 5 o clock shadow is good? :)
Re: Top 10 reasons why Muslim men dont keep beards
a hadeeth makes a sunnah, not a farz, a hadeeth could explain the farz but not create a farz.
Re: Top 10 reasons why Muslim men dont keep beards
Cannot comment, but would it even count as a beard?
Re: Top 10 reasons why Muslim men dont keep beards
Did you know…
Not all of the (stupid son’s of [you know the rest] that drove those planes into wtc) had beards…![]()
I don’t think any did…
Re: Top 10 reasons why Muslim men dont keep beards
which scholar of Islam says this?
rather which school of fiqh is this statement from?
Re: Top 10 reasons why Muslim men dont keep beards
Majority of the scholars would disagree. A hadeeth CAN make a thing farz, but doesnt necessarily do so.
