R u satisfied and happy with his performance this series? Would you not consider dropping him if he doesn't improve in the next couple of series? If u said no to any of these, then we have to call up another keeper, and at least have him in the squad.
Inzi's big brother Bob always advocate merit and form when it comes to Akhtar, but when it comes to Razi and Akmal then he talks about no backup so that we don't put any extra pressure on these two jewels.
I think consistency is a best policy but one must have backup for every player in playing elevens period, no exception to any one. Presently, Razi is doing good but Akmal needs a break otherwise no BS and Bob should not make excuses about absence of key bowlers, rather should accept that we dropped way too many catches and give them chances in crucial moments, and ENG was reprieved by some bad umpiring at crucial stages and thus by missed catches and stumping we didn't help our cause and being out classed by ENG.
The only thing keeping the likes of Zulqarnian and other keepers from breaking into the team, is their extra circular activities, which are not to Inzi's liking and not compatible with the new religious atmosphere., .
You may be the best conspiracy theorist this world has ever seen!
..And if these rumor have any basis...then I guess I wouldn't mind Akmal staying
Bravo. You are recommending discriminating against a player becuase of his "alleged" lifestyle choices. You really are something man.
This is the FIRST series he hasn't been able to perform well. I would never drop him now. He needs his confidence back which he'll never get from fans like you. Look at what he has done in the past...
In Pk entire history there has never been such an abject demonstration of wicketkeeping, there have been instances of poor performance but never with such consistent incompetence.
Being competent is not just enough these days, a good keeper has an excellent rapport with his bowlers ie he is a good contact person in addition to being fully cognizant with their bowling techniques. Except for his squeeky noises from behind the stumps Akmal shows no skill sets as described, thus his constant goofups behind the stumps.
In Indian series when all were enjoying his excellent batting, I remembered my nephew comments who watches cricket as a baseball game. He told us "that dude with squeeky voice scored runs".
True! not only he got this squeeky noise rather he make it by encouraging Shahid bahi, Umar Bahi etc after droping their catches and stumps when they are obviously using terms like **** etc
I wish him the best but will stick to my opinion of grooming a backup sooner than later, and don't see any harm in giving chances to youngster like Zulqarnain especially at a time when PAK batting (especially the middle order) is clicking and PAK have less relience on WK batting, rather they will be better off with a good keeper with gloves for time being.

You ungreatful, good for nothing, azz lickers of the rising stars, some indian lobby fellows and some Pakistani lobby mailaass,. You don't deserve to be associated with this game at any level, not even the vendor boy selling samosaas in the stadium!
i would suggest applying some glue to khatmal's gloves before each ball. he has been outstanding while also being a complete failure behind the wickets. Having said that, i still believe he has a lot to learn and prosper in cricket. He should be given proper training and let him self-evaluate.
Its simple rule in life, "you learn by evaluating your own mistakes"
i suggest keeping him in the team but not for long if this continues
come on guys.. chill for a min... Its not more then a bad series for him.. It happens to everyone.. to batsmen, to bowlers and to keepers as well. whats the big deal. we all know akmal has the talent both with bat and gloves. And thats what really matters. He will be back with some good performances soon, inshah Allah..
akmal stays...but we don't want to see him dissappearing like Kaluwitharne from SRI lanka...so PCB and woolmer (mr. laptop) need to do some real life coaching with the little guy....and please don't call him khatmal....I don't think he is a blood sucking parasitic insect....

I hope and wish we were in the past and will be in the future just as accomodating, understanding and conciliatory to each and every player who plays for Pakistan, but performs utterly crap...Lets give them 15 years careers to grow, learn and find their calling...let it be one of those alternative schooling experiences for the dyslexic kids who want to study at their own pace and make up their own subjects...its not the results that counts, rather the effort put in...
WELL I M SATISFIED WAT HE HAS DONE IN HIS CAREER VERY MUCH SO SATISFIED. DONT FORGET WAT INDIANS DID TO GANGULY, SACHIN and there other great ones. WE as PAKIS ALWAYS BACKED OUR PLAYERS I DONT KNOW Y EVERY ONE IS GOING AFTER AKMAL AND MALKOO THAT IS JUST SAD AS A FAN OF PAKISTANI TEAM I M SURE HE WOULDNT BE HAPPY WITH HIS PERFORMANCE IN THIS SEREIS AND HE WILL OBVIOUSLY IMPROVE FOR NEXT SERIES. BUT BEING THAT PATHETIC AFTER ONE SERIES ALL U WENT OFF AGAINST MALIK AND AKMAL I M SURE IF BOTH OF THEM MAKE CENTURIES IN FINAL ODIs U ALL WILL BE TALKING FOR THEM. BE SUPPORTIVE AND BACK THEM WE ALL KNOW THEY GOT TALENT THEY SHOWED TO THE WORLD AND WAT CUD BE MISSINGG IN THEM THINK ABOUT IT …
