I do not know the statistics - I just read it is 8-0. Also, I do not know the selection process - so I have no valid reasons. As I mentioned earlier, the only reason I came up with was probably not enough men apply. I have already stated I am not familiar with the selection process.

when did I say this breakdown was an unfair idea? How could I have said that if I was not even aware of the breakdown till you just pointed it out?

You are preacing to the choir. I agree. I was referring to certain comments about the need for "strong male moderators" to counter "aggressive female posters". I was stating we do not need any moderators with such attitudes.
When I was a Life1 Mod I took action on BOTH male and female members FYI. The subtle difference being that 90% of the females I ended up warning took it on the chins and knew I was only doing my job while some of the guys thought there was a conspiracy against them. You don’t like what a female Mod says? PM the CM. In the past, we’ve let go of Moderators if they act against the rules. How many Mods publicly have you ever seen being batameez? 1? 2? Does that indicate a pattern?
Obviously no.
So please don’t act as if there is a grand-conspiracy going on, trust me there isn’t :hinna:
Seb, me, Tariq Bhai, Ehsan Uncle, Tofi, Shamraz, Yazdi, LKK, Faris, McPendo, waleed, arafat, X2, Ali Syed are all male Mods. A lot of them in positions of high authority on GS. There are 3 male CM’s to 4 female CM’s. When Mods are chosen e.g. by Niksik in Lifestyle she just can’t go ahead and choose just like that, Tariq Bhai and us CM’s have to give our two cents worth too and then a Mod is chosen. And as I’ve said Niksik is the LEAST sexist person on GS Unless you’re saying all of us are sexists? That’d be a new one
Anyone here ever interested in being a Mod? Read below.
Moderators are chosen loosely based on the following criteria:
Their ability to stay out of trouble
Their ability to debate or post in a non-offensive way with their fellow members
Their activeness on GS
How much they contribute
Even if you get warned every now and then it doesn’t matter as long as the pattern isn’t continued. Barbie got warned when she was new, I was sent a PM once or twice, and by the way this was when we both used to argue a lot sometimes on GS but we knew we were both wrong and that was that and we never got in trouble again.
As you’ll see the list isn’t too demanding.
When a Mod is chosen or when someone is warned both instances are properly investigated. Noone does anything on a whim.
Ok, I read this. Wanna say that that the way you guys are fighting in here and the other feedback thread…I’m kinda thanking my stars that I don’t have a male mod .

There has to be a limit for ANY member to post in feedback thread other than OP. Perhaps Zero to maximum two.
This way Feedback forum will stay feedback (or any other sub-category) and will not become a place of discussion among members themselves.
There was no reason for two other guppies to give so much unwelcome input.
The discussion should mainly be between OP and related admins.

Anyhow, your observation maybe skewed since except rollacoster no other female 'member' entered and gave input in the thread. I did try to remind/discourage southie not to keep posting but... Anyways.:)
Female members do also get in to arguments. Male/female, all have their point of views which they consider right.
I'm not biased Diwana, and I was merely passing a comment in jest. It's not my opinion.
I will look for a suitable male mod as needed. Meanwhile, please continue posting. :)
Curious. Who was the Mr. or Mrs. brainy genius that chose to assign 4 females and zero males in a subforum that revolves around the two sexes equally?
Was he/she aware of the family oriented setting that Muzna is often found putting her emphasis on? Another question, would that certain someone treat a son and a daughter differently just because she herself is a female?
Okay okay. Forget about all the little conflicting views and the much neutral/genuine feedback the Brothers with no motives chose to address. How about giving a thought of consideration to the following post that may have went unnoticed?

Man that would be a torture, reading all those threads and equally hilarious replies And then trying to explain to girls why you edited a post or locked a thread. No real man would agree to it.
Moreover, lets have mercy on the men who in real life have to put up with feminazis. If you take away the venting place (life1) of feminazis, the life of their men would become harder.
Shak and I have conspired not to let any male mods in to challenge our dominance in popular forums. We could have taken over life forums too but we are kinda scared of TLK and Niksik cuz of banning and all. So we stayed away. Plus its easier to dominate female mods and dictate them et al.
There you go. I gave it away Shak! but the secret was killing me from inside. sighs.

I happen to be the Channel Manager of Lifestyle. All mods have been appointed, personally hand picked by me. Ab bolo joh bolna hai kaaliya…kitney aadmi thay?
