I am not sure why all this 'no male mod in Life' all of a sudden become a matter of concern for so many people. We almost never had a female Mod in PA and I never heard a single complain from any female member of GS. Does that mean that ladies dont go and post in PA or feel sidelined when they post. Heck no.
I think guys should stop feeling insecure and can go and simply post if they want their presence to be known. They dont need to be a mod of Life1 to take over that forum.
Muzna goes to PA. Rangoli is a woman. BF started a thread in WA. Aurchaepiyo is a woman. BBQ posts there.
But that is not the point. Point is that gender of Mod has nothing to do with the Gender of the poster. Its irrelevant. All Views whole team is female (except for Seb who is just there to back BBQ up during her absence). DOes that mean that men should not post, or they dont post. They do, right?
It is my hope that the best candidates be selected for any forum, irrespective of gender, candidates who are forward looking rather than looking in the rear view mirror.
I think what I wanted to say I have said very clearly but at the risk of repetition:
The mood of the forum is in the hands of Mods. Poetry forum is changed by only one Mod.
Female posters HAVE shown concern over PA male dominance and discouragement. I have once mentioned that too in my PM to TLK. I do not remember who that was who complained about male dominance there and I do not want to give a random name.
Besides, PA discussion is largely on internal Pakistani politics and we do know a lot of females do not feel discussing politics of Pakistan is worth their time. Not even many male members participate there. Same old crowd most of the time.
PA is a very specialized forum in this regard. Life1 has to do with both genders, based largely on gender issues (not always). Regardless, it has been a bit too feminine.
Like it was mentioned, the idea is good. And sincerely requested, not for the sake of complaining.
Life1 has seen those events where male members were discouraged or were called names unchecked by female Mods.
Anyways: Aakhir male members ka Bhi Tou Dil Hai Na. :D
Ironically though. Its funny how the "MotherF*****" comment by an ex female moderator has been totally brushed under the carpet, and as well as the current moderator's harassment of PM'ing people with mind boggling PM's.
Interestingly. What if a male member was found guilty of exchanging similar comments to a female member? He'd perhaps be done and dusted with and within a matter of seconds?

Anyway, carry on folks. :-)
I addressed this in my last reply but anyhow have you PM'ed the CM with regards to the bold comment? If you haven't then how can we help you?

I am sorry but I have missed both but would like to know what you're talking about.
Please PM relevant info. Thanks.
