Thirty-Day-Ramazan-Diet plan for GS

I'm trying, but I always crave for dessert after dinner. I must confess I had a piece of tiramisu last night. :(

But for sehri this morning I had a banana, and some water.

Fayz bhai...keep going...you are such a motivation :)

uff fayz.. dil na thoro apna... i think ppl are eating clever now... sure there are some days they let themselves go.. but the very next day its back to eating healthy.. so its not all lost...

keep up the good work :thums up:

Woah! I didn’t know a little smiley could do wonders. So we have some muslmans in the team too..good! Houston we are back! :hula:

Sunshine, it’s not easy being a muslim especially after a week of Rozas if you know what I’m saying  I’m sure you do
I am dreading the weekend already…People, let’s not go overboard with meetha on the weekend..sari mehnat ka satya nass ho jay ga…

:rotfl:

ok.. sorry.. i just had to.. it’s like.. dieting and dieters are just sooo funny.. trying to fight genetics.. :hehe:

abay rozoaN maiN toa kuch khaa pee loa.. agay peechay toa hawa hee khatay hoa saaray.. aur ab khalee pait varzish!!

kuch khoraak pay tavajjah doa.phokay pehlwaano..

But Fayz … :bummer: I (and am sure many others) were planning on indulging our taste buds for sehri and iftar on the weekends. If we restrict ourselves during the week, can we not bring out the greasy prathas/pancakes/fried evil goods at least on Saturday/Sunday???

Mehnaz, all of us are cheating already (aren’t we? You are not? ) …weekends would only make it worse. Like I had samosa and roohafza in the mosque yesterday and then mom had made this delicious chicken karahi so couldn’t stop there as well. I tried to backoff from the whole plan lastnight but this thread has kept me going. I only had water for sehri and I am starving right now
I plan to workout for an hour on the weekend.. I’ll double the intensity. Yeehaa!
My goal was to reduce 15lbs..I have lost 5 already… and marching on!

Pakistani abroad…how about we post our pictures after Ramazan and see who is the phoka pehlwan. Deal? I’m sure some other guppies would be delighted to see you too. :hehe:

u prove my point Fayz bhaijaan.. aaap agar saree sehryoN main aaloo kay parathay khaa laiN aur shahee tukRoN say iftaar kar laiN aap phir bhee ishtud rahaiN gay.. that's genetic.. and u're lucky to have it.. baaqee becharoN koa kyoN sharminda kartay hoa.. jeenay doa unhaiN aur kha pee lainay doa.

Are any of your parents forcing you to eat more than you want? All I want for sehri is my weetabix but my dad insists on me eating a bagel on top of that. So my banana has gone out the window cause I ain’t eating both bagel and banana on top of cereal. I can’t say no … I get told off. :bummer:

My folks don’t fast (health reasons), my brother is a kafir and I just converted last week so it’s only me during sehri, but surprisingly everyone joins me in iftar. Supposedly, I am being pampered but I am the last one to eat anything on the table

water? do you want to stay in shape or kill yourself? Since when was water enough to last you an entire day.For heavens sake have a piece of toast with milk or something at least. And theres nothing wrong with eating a complete meal so long as you work out after/before Iftar(whatever works for you).I have been eating complete meals, and havent gained an ounce for months now.

Fayz, I agree with a poster above: dont get discouraged. Your thread has helped me atleast from not going overboard with the fried stuff
So yesterdays menu:
sehri: plain roti with salan
iftari: fruit chat, milk, pakoras (aloo and palak) :halo: and a little spaghetti later on.

I am not working out for a variety of reasons:
1)i am lazy
2)i dont like working out
3)i dont have enough time to workout: you know with school, namaz, quran, taraweeh etc :halo:

So, even though I am not working out, Alhamdulillah I am doing better with the food and the namaz objectives. So please dont quit and run away, okay?

I ate so much last night, I couldn’t get up from my chair. Diet and exercise after not eating for 12 hours?. you gotta be kidding me. BURP

Is it OK to do iftaari at Pizza Hut?. I am craving Cheese Pizza today. :yummy:

it’s not just ok but some have argued that it’s mustahib.. so have yourself a Veggie Luvers Deep Pan like i did yesterday… :burp:

I know man...just a couple of iftaars ago I ordered me a Chicago St Pizza and boy it was the 16 incher Jalapeno thin crust original hand tossed...and I was watching Monday Night Football and just taking a slice out every few minutes and by the end of first qtr it was kapoooooshed ---gone! Touch Down!

im not busy today so this sucks. You guys are making me think about food. If my fast opens around 7, i eat continuously for about 4-5 hours until i go to sleep. beat that

This thread is kind of helping me, I am not eating fried stuff, at least so far .. but yesterday I cheated, my ammi send me some of her samosys and they were yummy, I eat one medium one. Otherwise for iftari I had a plate of dahi balay and a plate of fruit chaat, a glass of banana milkshake, no more room for dinner after that.

we, the girls in my office, r having a one (actually two) dish iftari cum dinner party today and we r going to have lots and lots of tasty, fried, spicy fattenning stuff  and i dont feel the slightest bit guilty abt it :hoonh: yesterday i had nihaari and fried naan for sehri :snooty:

khao pyo moj karo :halo: :jhanda:

I ate 1/2kg fried Fish with my friend, the other night. It was yummm :yummy:

In a day or two I will for Amrisari Hareesa, that is yummm too.

Last night, Had lots of soup and vegitable rice :gizzy:

Ok folks..we have done quarter of the journey already. Aren’t we all proud of ourselves for eating healthy :hula: we haven’t eaten any high cholesterol or high-sugar food for almost a week. High fives!

Ignore these people who are eating fried machli, pizzas and all…we will get our chance after Ramzan. God promised us that these kind of people are locked during Ramazan but I guess a few of them have sneaked out. :hoonh:

I feel cleansed and rejuvenated. Let’s continue for another three weeks and America, I promise you a new YOU at Eid.
