Not to me but I was so ticked when a person referred to my wife as langoor. Though the person called me hoor, but it did not really help.
Re: The worst thing someone said to you …
Hallo ladeez, can you maek nice paratha? :halo:
Re: The worst thing someone said to you …
Why is that so mind-boggling for you?
Not to turn this wonderful thread full of stories and indirect ego-stroking into a gender debate but really, have you only heard catty remarks said by women? ![]()
Re: The worst thing someone said to you …
I was deeply hurt when someone in the family accused me of money laundering. He basically implied I stole from someone. I may not make a good daughter, wife, DIL, or even sister but one thing I cannot stand is anyone telling me that k Maine kisi ka haq Mara hai. My father drilled money ethics and independence too deep in all of us sisters. He made sure we knew how to stayself-reliant. he made sure we knew that stealing from someone is the worst of all crimes. I take nothing from anyone but would give the last of anything I have without even being asked.
I still can’t get over it because I take too much pride in being khuddaar.

Re: The worst thing someone said to you …
Someone once told me I was never going to be happy.
I thought to myself…anyone that wishes someone else unhappiness must be pretty miserable. After all, misery loves company.
That was it.
Re: The worst thing someone said to you …
Seriously, there should be a sympathize button for this kind of threads. It feels cruel to like someone’s agony.
Someone I really cared about repeatedly called me khud gharz and bayhiss for many years. The titles were on, every time anything happened against that person’s wishes, even if it was beyond my control. I tried, as well as I could, to get rid of those titles but I just couldn’t. So finally I surrendered and accepted them.
Re: The worst thing someone said to you …
No, of course, women do not have the monopoly on cattiness. However, if you look on instagram, twitter, or most social media platforms, I think you’ll find that some of the nastiest comments are from women towards other women. I mean, how often do you see guys commenting on how slutty, fat, ugly, badly dressed, b*tchy another guy is? In contrast, you see that quite a bit with women.
Re: The worst thing someone said to you …
Lol its oK. it was mean spirited but funny.
Ummmm, you know the saying? people wont’ remember the exact words but they will remember how you made them feel…so i have more but basically, any variation of I’m fat/ugly/lose weight/blah blah, said here and by…people..when I was younger and single..
What did I learn from it? sadly, absolutely nothing.
Re: The worst thing someone said to you …
Wow. I’d write about the things said and done to me, but it doesn’t matter, I don’t care anymore.
Re: The worst thing someone said to you …
When a stock is above its 50 day and 200 day moving average, it is on a firm footing trending upwards.
Re: The worst thing someone said to you …
^ Why do you post the most irrelevant things in every single thread?
Re: The worst thing someone said to you …
And that is the worst thing anyone has said to me. Today.
Re: The worst thing someone said to you …
Guys, it wasn’t my intention to open old wounds. If it’s too hurtful to remember, then let’s not.
Re: The worst thing someone said to you …
no madz, it wasn’t directed at you or the thread subject…just speaking generally. ![]()
Re: The worst thing someone said to you …
It was directed at me. No worries.
Re: The worst thing someone said to you …
Don’t fight the tape.
Just can’t stand that.
Re: The worst thing someone said to you …

Re: The worst thing someone said to you …
