I don’t think these on your face comments are really that bad, they come from the people whom you are least interested in and hardly care about, worst comments are those subtle things that come from those you care about.

The irony is that more often than not, it is these guys that end up old and single (or married to someone they would not have chose as a “last resort”). lol

I was telling about aunty (who didn’t like my face) incident to a guy friend (another person who knew he didn’t meet our requirements so he never tried but he knew that I knew he liked me). So I was expecting him to sympathize and say something to make me feel better. Instead, he takes this opportunity to tell me he thinks I am a 6 out of 10 on his scale of beauty. I stopped breathing for a second. He continued, don’t feel bad I think I am a 4 myself. 
It wasn’t said to me, but I overheard an Auntie say it to my Mum.
‘You should take her to Pakistan, there are plenty of people who will marry her to get a British passport. I’m too embarrassed to suggest her as a potential to any rishtas here, she’s too fat. They will laugh in my face’.
How did it change me? I lost 70lbs and proceeded to reject every rishta she ever sent for me.
