THE MOST EASY LANGUAGE

Here in UAE we have many neighbours , among them one is from India(Malyalum Speaking) and the other one is from Pakistan NWFP(Pashto Speaking).

Both these couples have Kids of about age 6 to 7 years both are girls.
Initially when we all these families settled and all were new to each others.

These two girls were playing together , and they both were speaking in their own languages (one in Malyalum the other in Pushto) , when we(some elder) were appearing to them then they were not speaking to each others.

I was in wonder how these two kids are communicating to each others , after few months , i saw them , that both they are speaking in URDU although not good , but they are understanding each others and comunicating.

I think this Language is the Most Easy Language.

What is your Openion ?

Re: THE MOST EASY LANGUAGE

they both cant speak different languages with eachother and understand it..however, urdu/hindi is a common language for both of them, hence they start conversing in urdu/hindi. Cant necessarily say urdu is the easiest language.

ya, you are right that this one event could not be made suffient ground for saying that Urdu is Easiest language.

Do you know any other language that is easy in Learning more than urdu ?

Swedish is easier!

But really, it all depends on what language is your first language. Urdu has gender for nouns and verbs -- this makes it more complex than, for instance, Swedish, which, while it has gender for nouns, verb endings don't change depending on the gender of the speaker or the subject pronoun.

On the other hand, coming from an Urdu-speaking background, you would find the vocabulary more difficult to learn because there are few cognates. Coming from an English-speaking background, there are lots of cognates with Swedish, but fewer with Urdu.

Re: THE MOST EASY LANGUAGE

How is the UAE economy these days? We hear it is suffering seriously.

It is getting More better now, Dubai was effected much and many RealState Operators had stoped their work and still stoped as Banks were/are not able to further finance their budgets.

But Abu Dhabi was not that much affected , May be because its economy mainly stands of Oil and Gas Production.
However Govt Projects are not affected in any of Emirate out of the Seven Emirates.

Re: THE MOST EASY LANGUAGE

I think English is the easiest language out there. Urdu/Hindi is extremely difficult to learn for someone who has absolutely no connection to South Asian/Oriental languages. I know many Afghans speak/understand Urdu merely because they watched a lot of movies, but there must also be a lot of similarities between Urdu and Farsi?

Europeans who try to learn it have a tough time. Believe me.

You must be living around so many desis to have such a nice Urdu/hindi and punjabi. Isn't it?

Re: THE MOST EASY LANGUAGE

Urdu is not an easy language. Its a combination of Arabic, Persian, Turkic and Sanskrit.

The languages that are involved in its vocabulary are not easy, making it a feel that its also not easy.

Re: THE MOST EASY LANGUAGE

The pronounciation of Urdu completely differs from German pronounciation, most German native speakers cannot pronounce a deep throat R.

Oh and for the record I know like 4 words or so in Punjabi and that's it. My Hindi might be slightly improving, but I'm still unable to converse in it, I mean by converse something beyond "How are you? What are you up to?etc."...

Re: THE MOST EASY LANGUAGE

^^ I m not pure German neither I want to let overcome German accent on my Desi accent. I love to be paindo. :D

I know how they speak. R as near to G

Re: THE MOST EASY LANGUAGE

No, "R" is more pronounced like "L" in German. e.g. if I say "Naara" it sounds "Naala" automatically, I learnt how to read in Arabic and that helped me a lot because of the "Rah".

:P feel free to give me advice how I can improve my non-existent Urdu abilities.

Re: THE MOST EASY LANGUAGE

I dont think so L I think G.. :D lol

better type in urdu too you will get stuck on many words and for that you will try yourself to sort out words :D

Re: THE MOST EASY LANGUAGE

Gaah, I type Urdu almost daily with friends but when it comes to talking or to forming a sentence I just MAJORLY SUCK. Isn't there any freaking book that explains the syntax of an Urdu sentence? Vocabulary learning is an easy thing, but grammar and syntax is difficult.

Re: THE MOST EASY LANGUAGE

Re: THE MOST EASY LANGUAGE

Where do I get these from? PLUS won't they be written in Urdu??? I cannot read Urdu either :S

Re: THE MOST EASY LANGUAGE

you need a tutor for that then :)

Re: THE MOST EASY LANGUAGE

:S There is NOBODY who could possibly be my tutor, my friends mostly aren't able to read Urdu. :(

And I guess trying to guess it from the Arabic script is of no use...
