Re: THE MOST EASY LANGUAGE
^^ lol. Its mean.. Educate yourself even if you have to travel to China. A saying of our beloved prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH)
Re: THE MOST EASY LANGUAGE
Yeah I remember that now :P OMG my translation wasn't even that wrong and that was definately a mean sentence for someone like me HA! :P Alhamdulillah I'm improving a little bit.
Re: THE MOST EASY LANGUAGE
^^ nice.. try it.. if you have friends do try to chat with them in urdu. Unless they wont feel offended. (few do)
Re: THE MOST EASY LANGUAGE
The problem with my friends is they rarely correct my sentences. I had to really tell them "CORRECT AND EXPLAIN" and then few of them started doing it, however it's hard for them to explain the rules of grammar to me.
Re: THE MOST EASY LANGUAGE
as said to get proper education about urdu grammar you have to start from basic and have to built each thing EVEN if you know that. with that all aspects of the grammatical rules will be fulfilled. The chat way is just to reherse what you know and to proceed with that.
Re: THE MOST EASY LANGUAGE
My friend will be expected to bring me some kinda book from PK! Maybe once I get hitched to an Urdu-speaking person I should try and learn it haha :P at least I got an ability for languages.
Re: THE MOST EASY LANGUAGE
^^ thats good but anything that you want to learn need keen interest.
Re: THE MOST EASY LANGUAGE
I've got a keen interest to learn Urdu, I also want to learn Spanish and Farsi, but for now I'm quite occupied with mathematics which I need in order to pass my Abitur ;), afterwards I'll be ALL IN for languages. I only know 3 :( and a bit Hindi/Urdu.
Re: THE MOST EASY LANGUAGE
^^ lol abi :D keep it up.. I can see your future as UNO translator :D
Re: THE MOST EASY LANGUAGE
Let me tell you Malayalam is the most difficult language in the world
I've got a keen interest to learn Urdu, I also want to learn Spanish and Farsi, but for now I'm quite occupied with mathematics which I need in order to pass my Abitur ;), afterwards I'll be ALL IN for languages. I only know 3 :( and a bit Hindi/Urdu.
what is your First Language , I mean your Mother Tonge ?
You know only three Languages ,
English ,
German
and ???
In view of the replies from the GS Members we can say that language is Easy for some person , If He/She has some background of that language.
Like Urdu Speaker can very easily learn Arabic , because many words in Urdu are from Arabic language.
One who will be STANGER to arabic or Urdu , he/she wouldnot be following any thing.
Like for English/German/Spanish etc People their is nothing common in URDU/HINDI.
But their still Remains a question , that is their any language that has its impacts on other languages or which has words from many languages ?
Re: THE MOST EASY LANGUAGE
I'd say that has to be Latin.
Latin, Italian, Spanish, Portugese, French and even German and partly English all have some expressions or words that derive from Latin. Although Latin is not spoken anymore, like Sanskrit, it still has made a huge impact on the Roman languages.
@ aaho yes my father also sees my future as an UNO translator haha :P.
Entisar, I know German, English, French. I can read Arabic like most Muslims, but I cannot speak it, I know tid-bits of Hindi/Urdu.
Re: THE MOST EASY LANGUAGE
Aren`t there any urdu classes in ur town?
Re: THE MOST EASY LANGUAGE
Nope unfortunately not :( I'd love to go for some tutoring if I really felt it HELPED me to improve my Urdu, I so wish to speak it fluently and nicely. :S Whenever I hear the Paki ppl here speaking it it sounds sorta eww though.
The easiest language is one with the most popular movies, tv shows and songs. Those kids were speaking Urdu with each other because their parents watch hindi movies all day, have Zee TV running all day, and listen to Bollywood movies songs. That is how most non-Hindi/Urdu speaking people learn Hindi or Urdu.
Re: THE MOST EASY LANGUAGE
Malayalam??? OH if I had been brought up in India that would have been my mother tongue.
Well yeah watching movies can help, however as I said before you need some sorta idea about grammar when it comes to those kinda languages.
I have little exposure to languages backgrounds or knowledge.
But i can understand many languages are evolved from other languages.
English is one of the Examples.
Word "Urdu" , is Turkish Language word means "Lushker " , gatherings of people you can say in English.
It was named URDU because people of Lushker in INDOPAK were speaking this language , those people were from many languages like Hindi , Arabic , Persian , Pushtoons and English as well.
There evolved a different language that was known as URDU.
Urdu remained very common for the people in Subcontinents (India, Pakistan , Banglasesh) as these people were not only finding their language words in URDU but also their language wods were going in this language.
That is why Urdu/Hindi has connection to Persian, Arabic very much and URDU writing is Almost same as Persian/Arabic.
Re: THE MOST EASY LANGUAGE
As far as i know, the name 'Urdu' came from the Turkish word 'Ordu' meaning a camp.
it was so because in the Mughal camp, ppl from every where were serving the kings, and the language grew out of the intermixing of the local Khari Boli and foreign tongues like Arabic, Farsi and Turkish.
and yes, Urdu/Hindi is comparatively easier, but most of its popularity is because of its use in Bollywood and all the soaps.
