I was reading one of the discussion boards where they mentioned that they are going to show some ASOS in the last episode as a cliff hanger. Remember they did the same thing in the last season also where they had shown Arya's escape and start of journey while it was still a part of ACOK.
^^ Oh yeah I had forgotten. Could very well see the Red Wedding as a cliffhanger of season 2.
I hope the TV show adds a few things that are left up for speculation in the books. For example, we're not sure if Margaery knows about Loras/Renly but in the TV show there's a scene where she catches them and tells them to save the act for court. I also think they're going to show Joffrey being defiant to Cersei, he's going to come off as a bit of a loose cannon.
I've read all the books but only watched a couple episodes of season 1! Can't wait to catch up on that and the upcoming season 2. Really hoping book 6 comes out soon!

that gayish scene is not mentioned in the book as far as i remember...apparently it was to make the gay viewers happy.
Maybe it was to make gay viewers happy, but more likely it’s because the books make several references to Renly being disinterested in women, or about character being aware of Renly and Loras. It is never fleshed out, but is heavily implied. The TV show, being a different medium, does not have such luxuries so it explicitly shows some things.
I like how they have subtle differences from the books. The Renly/Loras relationship being one, and Margaery’s political awareness being another. In the books her innocence is left somewhat vague.
Not like any brotherly relationship I’ve ever seen
^ I think it's all pretty obvious stuff. There's no subtlety really. I think we're supposed to assume they're gay. Of course, it could be a red herring of some sorts, that GRRM will use against us later on.
