It really is consolling to see that we're all going through the same frustrations and headaches regarding the finding-the-perfect-mate process. For those of us though who are getting up there in age (slowly nearly 30!), what advice can you give???
speak for yourself
I believe:
-It just happens when the time is right.
-No one is perfect.
-One has to compromise somewhere.
This is how I found mine.

Somepeople are only a six-pack away from the perfect mate.
While others require gin and tonic.
You know, this is a serious topic. We have to treat it as such and not as a joke like some of you are doing. Anyhow, thanks for all the advice. How above some advice now on how to approach a guy you see and like from a distance at, say, a wedding or another party? How would you approach him? What is the best thing to do without scaring away the guy or giving him the wrong impression??? Please help!
depends on the your personality, the type of crowd and the type of event. could you just strike up a conversation or is it not your style, or maybe you can do it but the venue is not right for you to just start chatting tosomeone you dont know.
safest way- Find someone who knows him and can introduce you two
there are other approaches too, but they are not really different than just the ability to strike up a conversation at the right time.

I think Roman has advised on the preparation of how to do it.
I thik the problem lies with the culture and the proclivity towards having a process to something as crazy as love. What might be good fpractice in Pakistan and India may not be good practice in the states.
