LONDON: Pakistan Awami Tehreek Chairman Dr Tahir ul Qadri Friday contacted MQM Chief Altaf Hussain via telephone, inviting his party to join Islamabad march, which is scheduled to be held on January 14.
During the conversation, both the leaders discussed January 14 march and present political situation prevailing in the country.
Dr Tahir ul Qadri told Altaf Hussain that a high-level delegation of Pakistan Awami Tehreek would visit MQM’s headquarters in Karachi for giving formal invitation.
Hussain thanked Qadri for his invitation. He said that the joint meeting of Rabita Committee would look on the matter after receiving the formal invitation.
Well … several years of harsh honest people in power with backing of armed forces … who can investigate everyone who ever had/have held government posts (bureaucratic, judiciary, police, or political post), work out their assets in Pakistan and abroad, their life style and expenses and then ask them to justify everything they have and spent. If these people could not justify their assets and expenses … (at least justify 90 percent of assets and expenditures) … then this caretaker government should confiscate all assets what they and their close family members have … then give culprits (person responsible of corruption) capital punishment (by firing squad or hanging to death).
If there is no difference then why PPP bothers to participate in elections/government?
Out right rejection of elections because army is still calling the shots is stupidity. I prefer weakest democracy against strongest dictatorship. At least people have some representation in the government and representatives of the areas have responsibility to listen and try their best to remove their grievances. More over independent free media and judiciary are also essential part of democracy. Perhaps a day will come when Pakistan also stand in line with India in democracy.

That is what we urgently need in Pakistan.
You are right but will you import the people for accountability .
Every one is involved .
We have only one way
NRO for all with a fresh start .
A new social , political and regional contract
For everyone in Pakistan .
Well ... several years of harsh honest people in power with backing of armed forces ...
Stop right there. That is the model created by, Ayub Khan, Yahya Khan, Zia-ul-Haq, and finally Musharraf. Your repition of failure and corrupt model will sink Pakistan further in deep sh!t. I know in this corrupt model mqm and other tonga parties will be partners as usual in destroying the whole country. Pakistan then should be divided into further smaller units. Sindh would rather prefer to go with India and ask Hindus who were forcefully migrated during and after partition to come back and claim their properties which were illegally allotted.
