Tahirul Qadri tells govt to change system in three weeks | Pakistan | DAWN.COM

LAHORE: Religious scholar and Minhaj-ul-Quran International chief, Dr Tahirul Qadri said that the country’s system has completely failed, DawnNews reported.

Dr Qadri gave the government three weeks, till January 10, to improve the situation, otherwise he said that he would lead a protest march towards Islamabad on January 14.

“I give the government a deadline of three weeks to establish an honest and independent body that will introduce electoral reforms and pave the way for free and fair elections,” AFP reported Qadri as saying.

He said that his struggle involves the improvement and not the finishing of politics and elections in the country.

Dr Qadri said that if the Army intervenes again in the affairs of state, then he will be the first person to protest against it. He said that to prevent Army intervention, the rule of law must be implemented.

Speaking to a large public gathering at Minar-e-Pakistan in Lahore, he criticised what he called the unjust and feudal system in the country and said that the people had come out to save the state.

Tahirul Qadri said the state was in danger and that he supports the constitution and democracy.

He said that 180 million people within the country support and stands by the judiciary. At the same time Dr Qadri said that in order to bring peace and stability within the nation he will not back away from making any sacrifice required.

He said that he respects the independence of the judiciary, because independence of the courts is a must in any democratic society.

Tahirul Qadri said that politics in the country has simply become one of conspiracy’s and winning elections.

What is the use of marching towards Islamabad? Even if you take 4 million people to the capital, you cannot get even pillion-ride ban undone. You need to be inside the parliament to make things happen.

I am student in Islamology, (tasawuf, history of Prophets, and now jurisprudence…)

your comment is also full of non sense and we can observe how much you are ignorant in Islam.

Tell me: During the month of Ramzan, are YOU Silent the Whole month ? if not, you are a big hypocrite.
During the month of Ramzan, all the people you know, your family, are they silent the Whole month ? if not, why ?

Now read carefully, show me only ONE hadith, where the Prophet saw said "It is an Obligation to Be Silent "…

What Islam said is, during the month of ramazan is : "multiply your good deeds (ibadat), and IF you are in Itekaaf, try to speak, eat and sleep as less as possible.

When he delivered his fatwa, Dr Qadri was not in the Etekaaf,
and by the way, did you read the fatwa (600 pages) I don't think so, because if you read the book, you will see how much he is defending the true image of Islam by using more than 400 authentic hadith !
Now tell me, if we try to defend the image of Islam around the world, is it considered as a good deed (ibadat) ?

Why during the time of Our Beloved Prophet (saw),
when someone wanted to kill him, he always used to have "Human Shield" ! such as hazrat Zohaib Aleyi salam
And do you think it is the Prophet (saw) himself who said "I want a shield" ? The answer is "not at all", It was the organization around the Prophet, the advisors, his assemble and his friends who declared "those people will be your human shield"

So do you think YOU could say to the Prophet " First tell him to come out of the bullet proof sheild "

The onlye people a the time of the Prophet (saw) who used to tell him " First tell him to come out of your human sheild" were the kuffr…

So today, ANY person who is protected because he is receiving threat, it is only the sunna of our Beloved Prophet…

but if you have watched the full speech, remember that Dr Qadri said at the end,
the purpose of the 4 million toward Islamad, is to go inside the parlement

In that case he should run for election. Threatening to overthrow legitimately elected govt is treason & punishment for that is death.

That's a point
but to be honest I don’t know what precisely he intends to do the 10th of January I can only make supposition

What I know for sure, he is not against election IF the election respect the rules of Pakistani constitution

For example: In his speech he quoted some articles of the constitution ( 1- No one can become a member of the parlement if the person hides his income, otherwise it is 2 years prison; 2 - to become a member of the parlement, the person must respect 5 conditions such as "pay taxes, not allow to waste money, he must not have any black case in his history etc etc and many others articles like this)

So we know all those articles are not respected at all, and now all the media of Pakistan have shared that everywhere…
so I suppose, he intends to go inside the parlement to correct those elements, and this is where the intervention and support of 4 millions could help ( because I don’t think that the political people could gather 4 million people to support them… under 20 days even if they are very rich and powerful)

but this is only a supposition

That's the best course of action. Let us not doubt his intentions, but Dr Qadri wants change without getting into politics. That's not possible. He should simply contest the upcoming elections, get into the assembly, form government and make legislations for reforms through the parliamentary platform.

Canadian dollars can buy you a lot of media coverage and bring in gullible people to attend your jalsas. Only time will tell if they will let him march to Constitution Ave in Islamabad on Jan 10th or after.

Azan have of the words for the call towards Allah & when we talk during the Azan it means we have lowered the words of Allah & made our words greaterIt shows a way of disrespect.
