First they have imposed the law to ban Hijab, i.e. woman by law is not allowed to cover her self but yes she can wear bikni and in some cases topless is more than OK.
Now they have banned minarets, another symbol of Islam and place of worship...
I wonder what would be their third target??? May be, Muslim Males are not allowed to have circumcision or Muslims males are not allowed to have beard

Justifying one wrong with another is actually hypocricy.
Extremist may win some battles but eventually liberals will win the war as our humankind evolves. While there must be complete freedom from the state to the individual to practice any religion, state has to be totally free from religious doctrines in any modern civilized society. It is extremely important for the state to distinguish between sins and crimes; sin being a wrong doing in religious sense while crime is a offence against fellow human beings and society at large. While crime is a state concern, sin has to left to God to punish in the hereafter.
Relgious extremist from Switzerland or Saudi Arabia are equally condemnable, and non can be justified because of the other.
Liberals from every society are actually condemning this Swiss action... not because it is against the muslims but because it is against the sense of civilization...

And oh by the way the same schools do ban wearing the cross or other religious symbols.
Thus it was was mischievous on your part to say that they allow bikinis but ban hijab. It was totally out of context and purely meant to inflame religious and ethnic sentiments.

To clear up some factually incorrect statements:
Switzerland has a problem with Mosques in general. They do not allow their construction. The Canton of Bern has refused to provided permission to build a mosque since 1999 when the OIC countries purchased land in Berne. Since then the various muslim communities have bought buildings which they have converted into Mosques. The newest one is in Ostermundigan in Berne. Beautiful from the inside. The same applies for Zurich and Basel.
Swiss architecture is by no means unique. Modern buildings stand side by side with buildings nearly 300 years old. There is such thing as a swiss style. They are influenced by the region they border. Geneva by France, Zurich by Germany etc.
This was first brought up in 2007 and since then the idea has gained support. Knowing the swiss population expect more such rules to appear in the next few years.
