There's no wisdom behind just a Masala show for the ratings I guess!if wisdom was involved then they would not have shown such dramas to increase negatively in ppl on both sides through music!

I agree. Actually I have not watched the show. Am sure I wont care for it.

Just being silly. I love music ( as most do). And don't see role for nationalistic fervor in music.

I jus watched it for Abida Perween (not all epi)but the last two episodes I think I will not see it further,himesh comments on Paki singers, and his facial expressions shows the hatred,and how he and Atif exchange Looks at each other ruin th show!

No - have not heard of her. There is a Muslim Indian lady whose name sounded similar. Will dig that up later. Don't know too many Pak singers other than Fateh Ali and his more famous uncle. And some ghazal singers. For that matter don't know too many young Indian singers.

^ never mind. Abida Parveen is a Pakistani folk singer basically, and Southie is a south indian ( I assume), there might be plenty of south indian singers we dont know, I think I know of SP Bala only :blush:

One doesnt have to live in Antarctica for not knowing or never having heard of certain singers :slight_smile: :flowers:

Thanks Player. Yes the song in the. Fifties or sixties movie was by Lata . Parveena I saw in youtube for 1st time abt 8 mo ago. Singing some classical song. Don't recall which.

Apart from what player replied , please look up "Kurukshetra" on google . It is where they derived their program name from.

We consider that the battleground for the biggest war (MahaBharat) humanity has ever fought. BTW it is close to Delhi.
