Student Protests (merged)

Re: Student Protests (merged)

Thanks, also a little word of persuasion will go a long way… but still very much appreciate your effort..

Btw all others who r just visiting this thread can also come and join us… you can use the link

You belong to any university/college/organization, you can also gather on one platform and contact the person on the give site and can participate in joint effort..

We should remember that we have already lost half of the Pakistan ONLY because of these Army dictators so atleast we should not make same mistake which our elders did… i m sure if as a nation we show some courage and put some effort for the cause then our Allah will surely bless us… We are not part of any party rather we want our freedom back and who ever wins in free and fair election has his/her right to form the govt. and the Judiciary should not be made a rubber stamp rather we want Justice from judiciary..

Your suggestions are also welcome and will be duly considered and debated on… Come forward

5abi: so far blogspot is working from my home connection…

Re: Student Protests (merged)

This is a very good blog post detailing all the rallies in different universities…
Quaid-e-Azam University, Hamdard University and other departments has also started their peaceful struggle for return to democracy… It will be great if student community can lead these protests with unity…

Join in with your efforts too..

Re: Student Protests (merged)

I think Zahrah Sabri did a really nice job reporting on the LUMS protest.

Re: Student Protests (merged)

Exactly! Which proves Mushy a liar, while pretending he would first do everything just for the sake of Pakistan and Pakistani people, rather going after his own interests. Maara kon gaaya...gharib!

Re: Student Protests (merged)

Just read this news…

Good progress by our govt… i think it is something our army SUCCESSFULLY did in bangla province.

Re: Student Protests (merged)

OMG! I have no words…At least the other leaders should take a stand on this.

Re: Student Protests (merged)

Bunch of elite "students" backed by shady organizations and political parties are trying to bring democracy back to paksitan? uhhh no thanks.

These people or rather their daddies are the only ones that benefit from Pakistani democracy.

Pakistan Zindabad.
May allah give musharraf a long life, and complete control. He will always have genuine supporters.

Re: Student Protests (merged)

^ yes of course he will have "geniune supporters", don't worry US is with you, but if you know any history likes of Mushy will be thrown out as used condom.

Re: Student Protests (merged)

Don't worry even those who are cheering for Mushy now, will end up in cursing him when he is dust to dust and ashes to ashes. U-turns occure, but too many in Pakistan with Pakistanis.

Re: Student Protests (merged)

It is amazing that LUMS being one of the most expensive private universities would be the source of student unrest.

And all that time I felt that private institutions will be totally focused on studies.

Let's see if it were an American situation, then we would experience student unrest in the likes of MIT, Stanford, or Princeton.

There is no doubt that imposition of emergency in this day an age is a tough thingy even for a general.

I hope that emergency is removed soon as it distracts us from the real work of developing the country.

I am also ashamed that we are so furious about the fruit aka emergency but don't even bother about the tree. The tree of anarchy and instability bears fruit what we call emergency.

We as a nation have remained oblivious to the instability, judicial activism, and political opportunism for many years now.

Our soldiers have been murdered, and their bodies mutilated by the Wahabi Arabs, and yet our anger was nowhere to be found.

Anyways, it is good that we as a nation are showing the resentment and unhappiness about lack of freedoms, and I hope we can carry it on to the FATAns and PATAns so their men could get a decent shave, their girls could go to schools without the fear of Jihadi bombs, and their families could watch a movie.

I hope we keep our focus that Pakistan is the last island of safety for Pakistanis all around the world.

Amen!

Re: Student Protests (merged)

alright man it’s about fuc*** time. you go. :k: even though it seems like a shy protest but still, man, it’s something. hopefully more people will come out on the street. I just wish that we had just one sincere leader, just one person, and watch how people come out rallying behind to bring about a positive change.

Re: Student Protests (merged)

antiobl is right.

the actual problem is the insurgency in NWFP. It needs to be eradicated, and NWFP laws need to be loosened up so people can enjoy basic human freedoms.

NWFP has so many problems, just like the rest of Pakistan. Shutting down CD shops and closing down girls' schools are not an answer. They just add to the problems.

Re: LUMS student protest

Immy looks like a terrorist in hiding. I was half expecting to see Osama sitting next to him on the couch.

Re: Student Protests (merged)

PCG what has happened in last 5 days is not way to resolve the issue of NWFP.

Re: Student Protests (merged)

Dont worry, PCG is clueless. Ask her if she knows the difference between Frontier Corps and Frontier Force.

Re: LUMS student protest

Osama could be sitting on the lap of M16 along with H.E Pir Altaf Hussain

Re: Student Protests (merged)

The extremist wahabis will be rolling on the floor laughing their bearded buttocks off.

They have phony rich pakistani university students crying about democracy all of a sudden and killing of "innocent pakistanis" (lol las masjid), and political parties urging unrest among the population while the judicial branch is wailing like monkeys calling for heads, climbed atop steel gates.

I think the wahabis should take a rest, if not retire. Their job has been overtaken, if not complete. Indian intelligence services, and afghanis and perhaps anyone that wants to see a demise of Pakistan will be giving each other high fives right now. Bohat hi baighairat log hain.

I pray for musharraf everyday. May allah keep him safe. May he take care of the wahabis (with reason or with force).

Re: Student Protests (merged)

^Do you really beleive that people can be fooled by ranting about Swat. The judges, media and lawyers are the reason for imposing the emergency and these are the people that are being cracked down day in and day out.

90% of the Mush supporters are followers of Altaf Hussain, they know this ethnic terrorrist will not get a better backer tham Musharraf.

Re: Student Protests (merged)

Iconoclast, this is not an emergency, but martial law. The constitution cannot be suspended under the emergency. In fact, there is procedure in the constitution for an emergency...
