.... Some other measures are also under discussion for keeping it peaceful but very forcefull too...
.......
"Peaceful" but "forceful". Oh what an irony!
Anarchist vultures are out for blood now, and Ben-laden is smiling in his cave. This is how Pakistanis are doing the dirty work of Wabahi militants all in the name of Islam and democracy.
Abhi chingari paida hoi hai...agay agay dekhyee hota hai kya.....
Ya to chingari dum tort jai ge...ya phir bara dhamaka ho ga.
from what I know people are not very happy with the situation, btu not bothered enough about it to stage mass protests. life is pretty normal for an overwhelming majority of ppl atleast in Karachi, except for those who are on govt radar for one thing or another.

But life will not stay the same if emergency stays for long period of time. For instance prices going high on food such as roti, cheeni, meat n stuff...that could lead to normal people being bothered.

depends on if this increase is directly related to emergency, ppl have dealt with rise in prices in every era, some are temporary increases due to shortages, disasters affecting crops or hoarding, other are related to global situations.
The question is whether ppl will be bothered enough en masse and feel that the alternative set up willl alleviate these issues, if they do then you will see some traction , if not, it will be more of a cest la vie approach
I said in some other thread… that there is a very a nice saying by one very intelligent person… He said “When the dog barks, you don’t bark back louder”…
So ignore them…
btw there is one very nice article comparing the current time with the time just before the breaking of the Pakistan… when in March '71 the then *‘SAVIOUR OF PAKISTAN’ *took almost identical measure… i m not old enough to know them first hand.. but it was pretty revealing for me to read through them..
nonetheless it is very important that we realise the important of this time and moment and give every effort to change the situation for better…
Thanks all for those who are putting in their effort at any level …

I just remember last night I was talking to one of my friends uncle who was active during the time of Ayub Khan...He said it was the rise of price in cheeni for only 2 paisa. The cheeni price went high with 2 paisa and that lead to a disaster. Thats when the famous slogan started against him...."Ayub Kuta". So you never know what and when something could lead to a disaster. One thing is sure the people has to be bothered enough for a change.

true and u dont know what could be a rallying chant of certain interest groups and activists but not become a catalyst for mass civil unrest and agitation.
I don't know if this will turn in to mass agitation or not, but it is the right thing to do....It's time to stand up and say wrong is wrong....enough is enough....and I appreciate the people who are standing up....
I know a lot of very educated and intelligent people who have come out and protested....It's a matter of our future and we should no more tolerate army destroying the most sacred institution of our society.....judiciary>>>>
Good to see some other energetic and optimistic people ready to contribute with their efforts…
If you are a student or an alumni and in good touch with other alumnis of the universities than you can be a part of all this…
Here is a link of the guidelines… gather people from your university/organization from one platform and contact the person
Looking forward to hearing from you..
ps. You can also pass this information to other people also who you think can provide much more support and effort… But a quick action will be much appreciated.
it is indeed time to come out and say wrong is wrong enough is enough, and oppose military dictatorship, crooked corrupt international convicted politicians, sellout judges signing on to this or previous PCOs and terrorist dons hiding in London, and civilian leaders who had attacked judiciary in their tenure.
lets not just be content with replacing one wriong with another. Fully support calls for ending od emergency, holding free elections under the watch of independent election commission and no support for political party thugs that have been leeches for decades.
just liek we have a draftgore campaign in US, start a draftimran or draftedhi campaign.
