Re: stop exhibiting religious beliefs in public. Dr Nasim Ashraf
^ care to elaborate where he called someone kafir?
Re: stop exhibiting religious beliefs in public. Dr Nasim Ashraf
Anyone who prevents another muslim from doing what Allah has made obligatory, and believes that it is unimportant, has already gone into kufr.
Re: stop exhibiting religious beliefs in public. Dr Nasim Ashraf
No muslim has a right to declare another muslim a kaffir. Everyone should look at themselves and try and rectify their own mistakes rather than be ready to issue fatwas against others. It is between Allah and the person concerned. no other person has any right declaring others kaffir.
Having said that let's not get into religious disucssion here. This is the sports forum.

Re: stop exhibiting religious beliefs in public. Dr Nasim Ashraf
Dr. Nasim Ashraf including chief patron Musharaf are the best thing that happened to PCB in the recent time.
Because he has embarked onto the matters of sensitivity including players contract & discipline issues, some fast becoming fanatics quarters ^ ^ won’t like him a bit. OK now you may all continue with your BAKWAS!
I’m done here! :shoaby:

Iam just gonna say, that doing takfir is necassary. When you see disbelief, it becomes incumbent upon you to call that action, an act of disbelief..cause if you dont than it means that you dont find anything wrong with it, which goes against the teachings of Islam. Hence it is neccassary to call a spade a spade.
But doing takfir is a serious issue and there laws regarding it, and its somethign that only scholars are capable of doing. Iam not saying that what Inzamam said was correct, cause iam not an expert on this issue...but his statement did serve as a tight slap on the faces of those secular and liberal minded individuals, in the PCB and elsewhere, who feel that being a cricketer is more important than being a Muslim.

chacha jee, garmi na khao. Thandi lassi peyo.
And go back to cafe, and play with kids who are like quarter your age. That’d suit you best.
Re: stop exhibiting religious beliefs in public. Dr Nasim Ashraf
I agree with you on that.religious belief or lack theirof should be a private matter for people.izmamam and guys have opened up a "tableegh jamaat' in the team where they are giving lectures to everyone in the team about Islam.it is rumored that salman butt was dropeed by inzamam because he was not being religious enough and was acting too much like a gora.ofcourse naseem ashraf should put an end to it before it gets out of hand.
Re: stop exhibiting religious beliefs in public. Dr Nasim Ashraf
^Yah the performance didn't matter huh...unless the players are forced to do anything, there is no problem, they should openly come out and say it to the media like Nasim Ashraf did if there is one. Anyway Nasim Ashraf is an idiot, he is politicizing cricket now, what can you expect from sum1 with close ties with Mushi.
Re: stop exhibiting religious beliefs in public. Dr Nasim Ashraf
^no he is doing the right thing.salman butt did come out in the open and said that he was dropped because he does'nt have a long beard...his performances were not that bad,he has just missed out in a few innigs after scoring a hundered.naseem asharaf would'nt do this unless he has a good reason to.i don't know why imran khan is criticising him so much,he was out womanizing and doing all kinds unislamic things most of his life and now that he has got old, he wants to be a mullah.
Re: stop exhibiting religious beliefs in public. Dr Nasim Ashraf
^ It was Salman Butt's perfomance which was the reason behind him being dropped. His constant failure and Farhat's upsurge had him out of the team. Asim Kamal is quite a religious fellow, and he's no where in the picture. And he's a damn good batsman too.
So the whole thing about religion being the criteria for selection is such a joke. Inzamam does not have the final say in the selection of the playing 11, its the selectors who chose who plays on a given day.
As far as opening a tableeghi jamaat is concerned, whats so wrong about it? Whats wrong with giving lectures and spreading knowledge? Its a shame, the gora Bob Woolmer has figured out these activities have only brought good to the team and will continue to do so...but our so called "muslims" have a hard time accepting the facts.
Re: stop exhibiting religious beliefs in public. Dr Nasim Ashraf
Salman Butt is not the only clean shaven person in the team. So his allegations hold no value.
Only three people in the team have a beard...Inzi, Yousuf and Shahid Afridi. Everyone else is clean shaven. Asim Kamal had a beard and he got dropped too, and he was a good batsman.
Re: stop exhibiting religious beliefs in public. Dr Nasim Ashraf
I don't think Salman Butt's allegations are true. He was dropped because of his awful performances. He didn't deserve to be in the team.
The first and foremost criteria for selection into the team must be merit, and if that means that the 11 most talented cricketers in Pakistan are non muslims than so be it.
Re: stop exhibiting religious beliefs in public. Dr Nasim Ashraf
Using Pak Cricket team and expenses for personal glorification, marketing and promoting "a" view is simply wrong.
Pak cricketers are paid employees of PCB their first and only priority is to play cricket, if players are indulging in any activity which hampers their professional responsibilities then they are not being unprofessional they are also eating haram.
Re: stop exhibiting religious beliefs in public. Dr Nasim Ashraf
Umar Gul, Rana Naved, Mohd Sami, Mohd Hafeez, Imran Farhat, Younis Khan, Abdul Razzaq, Rao Iftikhar, Chacha Arshad ... do they all have beard? Tell Salman Butt to look in his mirror or his butt.
