youre right,
With me, what puts me off is when people gush over very young babies. I dont dislike babies but I dont do the gushing.

I think it also depends on the circumstances/surroundings you have lived in. My own brother is 10 years younger than myself..so since as a kid..i took care of him..and then later on took care of my cousins..plus, my parents and both brothers are very friendly towards kids as well..so being grown up in that environment i was always fond of children.
Alhumdullilah, all the kids i have met in my life mixed very well with me.
What i have learnt is that most of the times its our fears that held us back..at times i did thought about not having kids..but i overcomed my fears..and now i don't see kids as hurdles in my freedom in the future life..inshAllah, i will continue to study..i will continue to work..i will continue to move around..and i will travel..i'll take them with me in snuggli when they are tiny..i want my future kids InshAllah to be rough and tough since their infancy time.

Daisy - That's just what puts me off, too. I always think the gushers are doing it, not because they like kids, but because it makes them look good. I know this is not true all the time and some people genuinely have that gushy, mushy feeling, but it is rare.

This is what ive noticed
you have anice little baby, sitting quietly and gurgling to themshelves and playing with their toes or a little toy.
along come a someone who gushes all over the baby, along comes another attracted by the gushing. and before you know it theres a crowd around this child who then gets upset, probably cant breathe, finds lots of massive faces in its face, gets scared and bawls its head off.

I just saw a cute little child, mixed race… he had soft ginger actually it was ORANGE afro and dark golden skin and without wanting to sound rude he had almost the same colouring as an uranga tang…

Mixed babies are adorable, but not all of them. Each baby is unique. Some are cute, some aren’t. I can’t go all gaga over babies, unless I genuinely think they are cute, which is pretty rare. It’s quite fake to do it over every baby I come across, like minah_pa has stated.

714 - the genuine ones are the salt of the earth, too bad they are few. People like you I love to watch with kids because the kids love them.
I have a friend who is a gusher and, like you, a genuine one. She is afraid to get married and to have kids because she feels she wouldn't make a good mother or wife.

damn right sister..there is/should be a stigma aganist lack of maternal feelings..i means that the ultimate job/responsiblity of a woman..make babies..afterall thats pretty why they were created..

they only decide to have babies when they realise that a newborn child acts more adult than their husband..
sometimes its nice to have adult company:)

no no. we don’t impregnate women so they can have company with someone with a similar mental capacity as them. We’re not that nice. It’s usually to carry down our name.
