Thanks for a lengthy and nice reply! But for some unknown reason you spared the constitution if Iran…..if it degrades woman or if it is correct?
Anjann, I'm not sure if it's in relation to the what was stated on the site or my overall opinion. I have got no idea about Iran's complete constitution. Therefore, I'm in no position to comment.

Is asking about a woman’ ‘stoning to death’ off the topic? I will appreciate if you tell me that ‘death by stoning’ is un-Islamic or you endorse it as usual.
Asking about rajm is off-topic. Rajm (stoning to death) is a separate topic altogether, where both male and female adulturers are to be stoned to death.

Given below is a post ….can you tell me how you find its status’ ‘In the topic?

Thank you for pointing it out. It's been taken care of.

The given article explains pro and opposite to the norms of ‘Islam and Women's Rights’
I promised to come back to some particular verse, as I needed to understand how much you are ready to accept an open thinking. So far everyone has disappointed me.
I'm not sure if you're referring to me by stating '...you are ready to accept'. If it is directed towards me, then please do let me know. I'm on a very tight schedule these days and don't quite have the time to read and respond to lengthy articles. I apologize for it.
Re: Status of woman in Islam
What about you Anjjan?
Just curious… what was the “Sati pratha” ? Was that in your religion or just made be human being?
Re: Status of woman in Islam
The post that you quoted posted by me was in response to a question which needed answer. Since you did not answer it, I answered that.
My post is justified because I did not make that post without a reason. There was a reason behind that that a question as asked that needed an answer.
Understand ![]()
Sadiyah,
He made a fool out of you for that post which you removed. He wanted that to be taken out and he was successful in manipulating you. I had posted that quote to answer a question which was asked a few posts above…and that post PERFECTLY answered the question. How many times he has written comments to derail the topic. Those never got edited. Bijli girti hai hai to mujh par hi,
Does that mean you are going to edite and delete each and every post of anjjan that is not related to the tpic??? If yes, then fine I have no problem.
Re: Status of woman in Islam
Look at the websites “SECULAR ISLAM” that he uses to quote and support his points. He doean’t even know how secularism is wrong in Islam. There is no Secular Islam. Secularim cannot get along with Islam. Secularism is opposite to Islam.
Ah, he just needs to create an argument and he creates it even by twisting everything. ![]()
Re: Status of woman in Islam
Yea...I never understand the word "Secular Muslim"
Re: Status of woman in Islam
In Islam, the state and religion are not separate. To do that, it is a "SHIRK" ..........
Re: Status of woman in Islam
Lahore981, I can PM you can the material and you can discuss it in 'Status of Women in Hinduism' thread rather than over here. In addition, if there are off-topic posts, please do drop me a line and I'll try my best to take care of it.
Re: Status of woman in Islam
Let me explain these verses to you. You are quoting the right verses but building a wrong assumption. I repeat, you are building a wrong assumption.
The “pro” is a pro and the opposite is just your own mind that wants to create an argument against islam. Nothing more. Let me teach you kiddo ![]()
Well, you have disappointed us all for brining up such a stupid argument. Lets see what you have witten.
Dude, there is nothing called “Secular Islam”. Secularism and Islam are opposite of each other. So you are nullifying your own source.
I wonder why don’t you go to some Islamic website and why don’t you quote any Islamic website.
All your web links are from websites that are only there to speak wrong about Islam.
Quran is spelled as Quran NOT “Koran” which is used by Christians as an insulting term.
This is the result of blind copy paste. Who are **“us” **in this phrase (Definitly this refers to more than one people, not you, as you are one anjjan) This is the result of blind copy paste. ![]()
The 4 verses only show the “equality” of both sexes at social and legal levels.
These do not describe any differential responsibility of men or women. So they cannot be used as a comparison to the verses that talk about the responsibilites of women or men.
**If you want to compare, compare the verses comparing those that talk about the responsibilites of women to those expalining the responsibilites of men towards women.
**
Oh really !!!
Hundreds of !!!
Lets see.
Tell me how do you find it degrading to women when Quran says, “If you fear disloyality” Have you not heard of “Cheating” in western culture and in Hinduism too. That is what it refers to…
This verse deals with the fact that Islam wants the men to by loyal and loving to their wives. This verse deals with the strength of the “Marital relations” between man and a woman.
This verse give sexual freedom between husband and wife as a unit of a consolidated society. This is the point where Islam promotes the sexual relations and nurturing of trust between a husband and a wife not between a man and a prostitute or a boyfriend and girlfriend.
How do you find it derogatory towards women. I don’t see any. This verse perfectly “dignifies the women” dignifies the relation of marriage between a man and woman
First of all, the correct translation and the **COMPLETE **verse is this
[Shakir 2:222] And they ask you about menstruation. **Say: It is a discomfort; therefore keep aloof from the women during the menstrual discharge **and do not go near them until they have become clean; then when they have cleansed themselves, go in to them as Allah has commanded you; surely Allah loves those who turn much (to Him), and He loves those who purify themselves.
[Yusufali 2:222] They ask thee concerning women’s courses. Say: They are a hurt and a pollution: So keep away from women in their courses, and do not approach them until they are clean. But when they have purified themselves, ye may approach them in any manner, time, or place ordained for you by Allah. For Allah loves those who turn to Him constantly and He loves those who keep themselves pure and clean.
So you see, the complete verse conveys the message that it is not allowed to have “sexual intercourse” during menstruation and the reason is because it is unclean blood. Do you know what is “menstrual” blood and how it differes from the one that is running in our blood vessels. I am sure no. Because you are following a “Christian Mullah” here who does not know it either.
And then, Quran says to resume the sexual relation after the women has stopped menstruating.
Now I ask you. Are these whom you quote are so sex hungry that they don;t even wait for the menses to stop. You mean to say that the intercourse be allowed during that time. Are you so disrespectful to the women (You or your inspirations) These are common sense Anjjan and you really look stupid when you make stupid argument…
How do you find this verse insulting to women. I need to know… ![]()
Have you ever tried to know the obligations of men towards women? First find those out, then come back and write both together. Then I’ll show you the answer…![]()
First of all, wrong words and wrong translation.
Second, where is the verse number?
Come back again dude… ![]()
This means 'After sexual intercourse"… you are so dumb.
Let me ask you. Wold you take a bath after involving in such activities or is that okay for you and Hindu women to remain like that without bathing … ![]()
You have no idea of cleanliness thats why you don’t understand this verse, probably you use tisse papaer for everything.
I rerally don’t understand how do you find it insulting to women.
Please exlapin your point of view…
Re: Status of woman in Islam
sowhich islamic country can be used as yardstick for treating women saudi ,pakistan
or iran?
Re: Status of woman in Islam
There are millions of women in tens of islamic countries living happily with their familymembers and husbands including SA,Pk and Iran.
There are also millions of women in non-muslim countries who are living quite unhappy with their families and husbands.
TOPIC is NOT what you asked. Topic is status of women in Islam.
Every hindu on this forum has a serious and chronic problem which I or others have mentioned many times…running away from the topic!
They just cannot answer or discuss staying within topic.
Re: Status of woman in Islam
I wish anti-muslims/islam can read english to understand what sculptor posted.
But why would they?.......... then they will have no ground for dumb arguments!
Re: Status of woman in Islam
Lahori saheb…do you really understand the difference between the derogatory remarks and respect?
This is the most eternal and unbeatable statement.
Mostly Muslims keep their women behind the doors, marry and divorce at their first wish, haram prevails (among Arabs), issues fatwas against women etc….
Show me a single Muslim, or a unique Muslim society, or an Islamic state who agrees that they do not live in accordance to Quran!
Re: Status of woman in Islam
^just open your eyes and look around.....no need for anyone to show you.
you are not arguing to understand, you are arguing for argument sake.
Sculptor said great lines there...
Re: Status of woman in Islam
No they don’t.
Marry? Duh…divorce…not so common…
Unh..no…
…and men…
They try, but then the fact that across the Muslim world there is so much difference shows that what people think and do are two different things…
Re: Status of woman in Islam
Unh...guys...why the hell are we on the defensive?
Anjaan...if you care so much about Muslims..convert and make a difernce as an insider. Otherwise sod off...
Muslim women don't need you...just ask them...
Re: Status of woman in Islam
looks like minorities r in full swing on gupshup to badname muslims, islam and pakistan..
i want to tell u all non muslims tht u will neva eva able to find any senseless pr bad thing in islamic teachings....islam is the true religion and thts y thousands of christians hindus r accepting islam every year...
Re: Status of woman in Islam
Studies on violence against women estimate that a woman in Pakistan is raped every two hours; approximately 70-90 percent of women suffer from some form of domestic violence; and there were at least 3,296 cases of violence against women in 2002. The Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP) documented 895 cases of abuse against women for the first part of 2003, consisting of 260 murders and 124 cases of gang rape. Barriers such as social stigma, legislation that punishes victims, economic dependency, and lack of access to information about their rights prevent women and girls from reporting domestic violence and rape. Nearly 50 percent of women who do report rape are jailed under the Hudood Ordinances, which criminalizes extramarital sexual relations, including rape. The Hudood Ordinances, implemented in 1979, abolished recognition and punishment for marital rape. Pakistan has no specific legislation against domestic violence and police are reluctant to get involved in “family matters.”
i am not equating islam with pakistan but you should practise what you preach
Re: Status of woman in Islam
70% to 90% .......................................hahahahahahaha...this is the most idiotic statement..
really how much desparate these non muslims r here...
Re: Status of woman in Islam
Ahhh
Look at anjjan. He didn't even answer my post.
....................because he cannot. He thinks simply cut paste is enough.... :p
