I personally was discussing punjabi’s are being more hated by other ethnicities in pk than any other e.g urdu spkeakings. Even if all that is going in karachi. I have seen many examples by my eyes in different part of country. I m not talking based on news paper only. This phenomena is not good at all and getting more stronger due to absence of any political party having pentiration in whole country.

As with Metro project. I challenge you that on this board alone you would find more Punjabi members ferociously opposed to the project than non Punjabis. In fact, I can name and shame plenty of non Punjabi members who thought how this is such a wonderful project - all hail CM Punjab. I bet now they’ll suddenly remember to cry about their rights.
I am absolutely disgusted by Metro project- I had been debating against this project with Noora Patwaris. I have no intention to take any ethnic or regional pride in the project no matter how pretty it looks. It’s tragic waste of huge capital.
But me being an evil Punjabi, I’m really looking forward to Peshawar mass transit which would be less than half the cost of Lahore Metro (forget about disgustingly expensive Islamabad one) and cover more mileage.

Exactly! I am also from Punjab and no need to confirm what i think about Shahbaz and his gimmicks. Projects like Metro are definitely required and i think Karachi badly needs it but we can’t afford to spend billions on these projects at this stage as we are facing power shortages unseen in modern world, even Afghanis make fun of Pakistan’s severe power shortages. We are far behind even Asian countries when it comes to education and considering metro projects runs on Rs 2 Billion subsidy makes it even worse.

Bibi jan, Karachi is more diverse than Punjab ever would be. In fact, SID already mentioned the transport, timber and security businesses that Pathans run which wouldn’t be possible if muhajirs like to kill Pathan. Karachi is the largest Pashtun city even if they are a minority.
of course, diversity hasn’t been without hiccups like mustafa kamal couldn’t introduce green buses in Karachi due to transport mafia run by another ethnic group. In fact, it was Karachi that introduced LPG, but Delhi actually implemented it and reduced smog because all Indians work together.
PS Karachi needs more railway as I have seen the metro buses and not only do they look wide for our narrow roads, I am waiting for corruption in the project to come out. Rail us the cheapest way (narrow gauge less space) so federal govt should guarantee loans for KCR like how Feds and states work in the U.S.

is there a breakdown on where they were killed? New migrants settle with family and friends and there hasn’t been any riots in Karachi. The writer failed to mention the Taliban vs ANP violence that happened as new migrants and hidden terrorists came after operations starting 2005. There was dawn articles about that as well.
