I think why most people get upset about a pricey dress is that most of us on GS belong to middle class and cannot afford all that. Most of us dont even know anyone like that in real life. In their mind, they are probably imagining what they would do with thousands of dollars if they had them, and certainly wouldnt be spending them on one dress but rather on a car or house payment. Its just hard to fathom for middle class folks i guess.
