I just finished watching the video and I saw no trollish behavior. And who doesn’t have an agenda? He offends you because his agenda goes against your agenda.
Can you share a video where one of these interview a scientist then dismiss their expertise without quoting research that refutes their guest’s claims.

He did not come across as a misogynist to me. At least not in this video. Could you share a video of his or a piece of his work where his misogyny is evident.

Fair comment. I do not know him from Adam. He just came across as self congratulatory. And the title of the thread along with OP are other factors in my statement re him being a misogynist. Will do more research and withdraw my label if warranted.

His agenda goes against my stand that everyone is equal. If you want to label that as an agenda so be it.
As for second part of your comment, Indid not watch the entire video. The lady was asking nice counter questions. Which made sense to me.

She was putting words in his mouth. Take the part where she brings up a the 9% wage gap between men and women in the UK. He counters by saying it might seem that way, however, that difference is due to multiple variables, gender being one of them as opposed to being the only one. She counters by saying that’s not true. What kinda reply is that. She could at least bring up some research that says gender has an effect on wages even when the effects of other variables are accounted for.
She then pivots to, “You’re saying it doesn’t matter if women aren’t making it to the top”, he counters by saying he never said that and he said the wage gap can be attributed to multiple reasons. She goes bla bla bla then, “there exists a 9% pay gap between men and women. I’m not saying why it exists but it exists”. She doesn’t care about the why. She just wants to use the 9% wage gap without factoring in the other variables at play because it helps her narrative. I’m not impressed.
Also, he repeatedly says he’s in favor of equal of opportunity. However, equal opportunity cannot and does not guarantee equal outcome.

I’ll agree there. I wouldn’t call the host dumb. She’s arrogant, sneaky but definitely not dumb. I’d say she just wasn’t prepared to deal with Jordan. She started attacking real early in the interview and Jordan played defense brilliantly.

The last part was where I had some misgivings. He was more focused on not being wrong. So he would all but say something but not quite say it. This viewer got the impression he was saying what the host claimed he was saYong. But since he stopped short he was technically correct. To me that was cheap tactics. Great if you are in a debating team. Not so much when you are discussing social issues imo

It is only a matter of time when social justice movements are taken to extremes which gives birth to counter social justice movements. Those counter movements meet the same fate with the passage of time. For example, I really liked Marxist ideas about economic systems to address inequality between rich and poor but later learned of some of its extreme interpretations. Man-made laws can only do so much for so long.

He said, he’s in favor of equal opportunity. I don’t think he said anything about opportunities being absolutely equal for both men and women. I’d say we’re pretty close to there being equal opportunities for men and women here in the West. Equal opportunity for people from all socioeconomic classes is a far greater problem here in the US.

I did not get that feeling. To me he said what he said and he wasn’t trying to trick her or anything. On the contrary, she kept trying to put words in his mouth. Kudos to Peterson for staying calm and collected through the whole interview.

Yes, based. On the partial transcript (which may have been cherry picked) the interviewer seems to misrepresent the guest.
I did have a problem with the following statement from the guest
”Peterson: If it means equality of outcome then it is almost certainly undesirable. That’s already been demonstrated in Scandinavia. Men and women won’t sort themselves into the same categories if you leave them to do it of their own accord. It’s 20 to 1 female nurses to male, something like that. And approximately the same male engineers to female engineers. That’s a consequence of the free choice of men and women in the societies that have gone farther than any other societies to make gender equality the purpose of the law. Those are ineradicable differences––you can eradicate them with tremendous social pressure, and tyranny, but if you leave men and women to make their own choices you will not get equal outcomes.”
His hypothesis is that Scandinavia has done enough to ERADICATE differences between genders opportunity wise. So since there women choose nursing and men engineering he is saying this is the case in actuality everywhere.
Some would contend Scandinavia while ahead may not have come close to eliminating opportunities. And history. Men and women have been exposed to what they have been doing for centuries, tough to turn it around in a nano second
