Re: So umm... Thinking about losing weight for your big day?
^ makd so for snacks, try a fruit or a vegetable, or even a handful of almonds would be great. or combine all of those and make yourself a yummy salad to snack on.
if you get the shred dvd, its a workout video and it will show you all of the exercises. everyone i know who has done it has said it is hard but totally worth it and gives you great results. its a month long program. or do the exercises you are doing but do more repetitions of each move.
you should try to change up your eating habits esp if this is all you've been eating all along. your body needs fuel and energy to burn calories. breakfast should be something much more substational than one fig. try an omelette with the egg whites only of two eggs and one whole egg. mix in some veggies. or if you are in a rush, try making a fruit smoothie with yogurt, fruits, milk or juice all blended together. you have got to get off to a good start daily. i promise you eating healthier and more will make a good difference in your energy levels and will help you to lose weight.
Re: So umm… Thinking about losing weight for your big day?
ummm ummm actually fruits or veges with tea has no combination and for me mid day tea is a must. so i think a handful of nuts is a better option. i ll have almond pistachio and some kaju inshAllah! or try to make a whole bread sandwich for this(oops i ll hav to add some sandwich spread or butter) .
i wont be getting a dvd i know myself! but yes i ll stick to the exercise i mentioned and will do it a few more times!
Re: So umm... Thinking about losing weight for your big day?
SGC - does this shred DVD focus on abs/love handles as well? I'm actually underweight, have been all my life. So I don't need to lose any weight. But I now have a bit of stomach fat and love handles :| And I need to focus on just my waist area.
I guess decreasing rice intake is also a start? I've heard rice can bloat your stomach too.

Breakfast: bowl of Cheerios with semi-skimmed milk
Lunch: karahi chicken with half a tandoori naan plus loads of salad - spinach leaves, black olives, cucumbers and red pepper - sooo yum!
Snack: cucumber sticks (about 3)
Dinner: Banana, 3 kajooray, 2 handfuls of raisins and a glass of semi-skimmed milk
I'm still hungry, but I'm trying this new thing where I'm gonna have no carbs after 5pm, cus it's harder to digest food after 5pm. Will try it for a week and let you girlies know how I get on.
Still no exercise done yet - I planned to but I started my P so can't!!! Exercise is def on the cards though - I'm feeling motivated to do this after reading everyone's stories!
Re: So umm... Thinking about losing weight for your big day?
Nice salad I just made for lunch thought I'd share: fry mushrooms and sliced bell peppers in a little olive oil, take off heat to cool then add fresh spinach, black olives, feta cheese cubes and pine nuts for that extra crunch. The best part is I found a jar of spicy salsa dip, u know for like doritos, in the fridge, added that to the salad & it tasted so yum! And dip is not evening fattening, its made with tomatoes, onions, peppers and a lil bit of sugar. Adds a nice twist to a plain salad. Yum!
