Re: So umm... Thinking about losing weight for your big day?
Welldone nnabid... So what did you different to lose the 1 kg :)
I've been doing this one simple thing for the past 2-3 weeks, it's really small, but it seems to be working....
Basically, I'm swapping my lunch and dinner around. I will have breakfast as normal, but when it comes to lunchtime, I'll have what I usually have for dinner (something heavy)...and when it comes to dinner time I'll have what I usually have for lunch (something light). So like, for lunch these days I'll have roti salan, or a big jacket potato with salad and toppings, or a pasta dish....something big, and heavy, and warm usually. Then for dinner, I have something light like a salad, some fruit, a yoghurt, maybe nibble on biscuits...no big set meal, just little snacks really.
It's really easy, I'm eating exactly what I want, but just at different times, and logically, it makes sense because you should eat more during the earlier part of the day, as you have more time to burn the calories. Plus, when it comes to bed time, I haven't had a heavy dinner so I go to bed on a light stomach.
I'm really happy - I've actually gone down to 58.8kgs now in the past couple of days. It's working - sooooooo happy :)
Just need to incorporate exercise in now to get REAL weight loss, hehe :)
Re: So umm... Thinking about losing weight for your big day?
yayyy i found people i can brag about my weight issues too ! lol....
hello world...i'm fat..how do you do ?
i don't have a crazy junk diet ...i drink a glass of milk every morning , have roti salan for lunch and i have dinner at 6 ! also 1 cup of tea at 6..and 2 cups green tea !
i work so i sit on my ass all day...i've gathered horrible amounts of flab on my stomach and hips..i just want to loose inches and tone up...i've gone to 53kg from 60 once before...but that involved 15 days of hardcore hiking ! and i kept loosing weight for yearssssss !
okay no i use to walk for 30 minutes and do cardio in between to maintain too...then i had an accident and i couldn't keep that up for 6 months..and in those months i ate junk...like halwa pori pizzas... stuff i use to have once an year i ate twice in a week...as a result those precious kg's are back !
i'm back to 60..balkay might have gone up i feel !
i am starting 30 day shred again...i did the level 1 for 6 days only before....and even though i am a lazy bumm i could easily keep up with JM and do the whole workout without missing steps...
soooooooooo ! talking about these things keep you motivated ! cuz no one is there to cheer for me and push me except my own self !
i have a horrible sweet tooth for cookies ! when i get those hungry binges in between meals in office the only option is chai biscuit ! ...
Re: So umm… Thinking about losing weight for your big day?
Hey ladies - I was just thinking about this thread and wondering how everyone did in the end? It’s been like a year now, so I’m assuming everyone is married! How did you gals all do on your weight loss venture?
I’ve been married now alhamdolillah for almost 4 months. I’m 5’6" and started out at 60kg, and by my wedding in Oct 2012 I was 54-55kg. So lost about 5kg!
I started out eating healthy and exercising and stuff til I got to around 58, then when I wasn’t seeing results I did it the really bad way and (don’t try this at home…) practically starved myself 2 weeks before my wedding (hey, it’s just like doing roza right?) and dropped down to 54. After the wedding I went back to normal eating habits again and now 4 months later I’m 56, and really happy
p.s. the starving thing is really bad, I know… :sid:
So how did the rest of you girls do? Did you achieve your goal weight, and if so how? And did you manage to keep the weight off?
Re: So umm... Thinking about losing weight for your big day?
