I have a bottle of Adrien Arpel Skin illuminator brightening serum at home. Has anyone used this product or a brightening serum of any other brand? What do they do? Do they really brighten the complexion? Is it worth trying it out? Could it cause me to breakout? I have very sensitive skin. Oh ya, and there’s 3 weeks left until my mehndi. Should I be taking this risk or not? sigh
Hey, i dont think u shud risk trying out a new product so close to the big day u never know what can happen! and everyone has a different experience with products, youre better off trying it after u get married! drink lots of water and use ubtan and other other herbal, natural ingredients on ur face, ull get a glow with them too, espeially the ubtan used regularly u can really see a difference....
Good Luck with everything...xxx
oh i dont think shes talkin about the make up ones, shes referring to the serum which has more long term effects, it doesnt wash off!
However if ur lookin for a cosmetic one, Revlon skin lights is really good and cheap it lasts all day, and this looks good with all skin tones, with revlon u can get it according to ur skin tone like foundation..xx
for an instant fresh look that won't make you breakout, buy the white lucent masks from Shiseido. Its a little over $60 I think and there are like 6 in a pack, so you can use two of these every week. It really worked on me and I use their whole skin care line, but I wouldnt recommend that for you because you have such little time that the other products won't have a drastic effect.
Farrah- MAC Strobe can be mixed with your foundation to give your skin a bit of a glow. The effect is ok, nothing major. Ask MAC for a sample so you can test it on your skin to see if it reacts.
I have high beam and am not a big fan of it as a highlighter- as it's a liquid, i find it disappears into my dry skin. I prefer to use a powdered highlighter.
BTW, be aware of using illuminators or light reflecting make up if you are going to be photographed (bridal etc) as photos may come out a bit ashy!
