I love lasagne too,and would definitely be trying Uetian’s recipe. Thanks for Shairing Uetian!
Okay, here’s a very,very simple gosht recipe.
For this you will need boneless mutton or beef. Cut it into small cubes, about half an inch in size. Put the mutton/beef+cinnamon sticks+ a lot of water in a pan. And let it cook. If there is any 'scum’on top of it, remove that. Balke strain that water, put more water and keep boiling. (of course luke warm water warna the meat will become hard!)Just keep it covered with a lid until the meat is tender. Dry up any excess water.
Now add 1-2 tbsp. ghee+salt+garam masala to the meat and stir fry on high heat for a few minuts, till the oil starts to seperate etc. Buss! That’s all you have to do. And this dish tastes remarkably like tikkas! Try it exactly as I have described.
Isko aap aise hi kha sakte hain, without any naan or roti as an accompanying dish.
Aisha can you please ask your mom to share how she makes puff pastry? The ingredients are simple but its tricky.. i made it couple of days ago and it was such a mess! I end up making ‘puff patties’ with it lol not so bad I really want to get my hands on a perfect puff pastry..
CB I didn’t see this brand of white soda here.. i end up buying a local one and i’m a bit shy to use it.. not prepared for another disaster
And do try this lasagna recipe i make it this way.. so simple yet heavenly delicious!
Ok guys I just made ras malai and most of the balls broke! taste is good nevertheless I was so impatient to taste it that I forgot its HOT and put in my mouth and then.. ah! :o
bohat meetha hogaya ab gol gappon ki shamat aye gi
^Waleeja how much baking powder did you put in the ras malaai? Because if you put too much baking powder then the balls will break up. I think that 1/4 tsp. is more than enough for 1 cup of powdered milk.
^Awww Waleeja…I hope you will get it perfect the next time, Insha Allah.I used to make a lot of mistakes too initially.
Last night I tried to make Chum Chum but that was a disaster too:( I don’t know what happened, or what I should have done which I didn’t too. Because I had followed the recipe, still…
The chum chum weren’t sweet enough, although I used the exact amount of sugar
They didn’t absorb the yellow food colour and still looked white with pale yellow traces here and there.
Silver, write your recipe here , lets do the post mortem carefully and see what went wrong where and this till i will try it with the lessons learnt and lets try to work out a perfecto recipe … thats who i ended up on the perfect gulabjamun recipe … it was carefully monitored and post mortem reports and lessons learnt carefully read everytime i tried them …
so write it down and lets see what went wrong where …
This seems a very odd recipe … arnt chum chums the one that are white and grainy ?
Let me sit on it for a while , do my research , make a cham cham and i will share it with you shortly … bear with me if it takes a few days silver, i am on and off between long distance meetings .. but i will do the experiment with a different recipe , keeping yours in mind and share the results …
Well the white ones are ras gullas. Cham chams come in different colors, white, yellow, pink etc. And yes they are grainy. And the cham chams I made were grainy too. But they weren’t sweet, despite the fact that I cooked them in the sugar syrup for 8 minutes etc.

Right, so research tells me that rasgulla and cham cham are apparently the same things just the difference in size and color ...
My boss is going to strangle me today coz everytime she comes around I am printing rasgulla recipes !
I have five of them now .... and inshallah will sit down and analyze the best one out ,try it and share with you soon ..
keep your fingers crossed ...
One thing i am thinking, perhaps it would help slightly if some sugar is added in the gulla mix ... coz that will bring it some sweetness , it can be hard for the cheese to absorb all that sugar ... but lets wait and see ...

Interesting recipe. I never had lasagne with white sauce/bechamel sauce. I wanna try this. Usually its lasagne sheets, layer meat sauce, some ricotta blended with an egg/parsley etc & then layers of whatever cheese u like, usually mozzarella/cheddar blend. Hmm.
awwww:hug: Uetian , my mate , yaar i am going to try it , inshallah and am dying to do that , i am just not finding time to be at home … ( I have to travel a lot for work )
Inshallah after three weeks ,I will have more free time at hand , and I will get to the market and pick up all the stuff needed to make lasagne …
and guess what , I dont have an oven tray , to make lasagne … hats also one factor stopping me at the moment… but inshallah i will get one as soon as i can and try out your recipe …
and inshallah din ho ya raat , i will report back to you about how it turned out …
… you have to come to my daram-shala first .. some friends have self-invited themselves to my place and told me they have left a menu on the fridge for me to prepare … join them this weekend aisha… aajo aap bi…
