Actually isnt the idea that by legalising drugs more people will enter the business and therefore there is more supply and therefore the price goes down...
If one district only has one dealer the prices are going to be high...if there are ten then the prices will be lower...legalisation seems to benefit the consumer in terms of they have access to cheap drugs...who it does screw over are the drug barrons who now have people legally stepping onto their turf...
It doesnt actually discourage drug use in any way...it does infact legitimise it...what it does do though is regulate what is on the market...and maybe hold dealers liable for providing bad product per say and stuff like that...
The Global War on Drugs has been a total failure.

Legalising prostitution will mean the prostitutes are ensured cash...no pimp can deny a hooker her money cos as an employer he is entitled to pay his staff...like i said maybe the prices will go down but its still a lot more money than a normal job and the hooker will get more of it than she would if she was just a street ho...also for a freelance hooker she doesnt need to be freelance anymore cos her company will have done all the marketing for her...they'll search for clients and she will still get decent money...
Amsterdam hoes go for about 40EUROS for a half hr...tell me a job that earns that that doesnt require a degree education...MCdonalds or a ho...i know what they would choose if the profession was legalised...

Indeed the War on Drugs has been a failure but explain to me how legalising drugs wiill stop people taking drugs...fact is all it will do is make it a level playing field...so i could decide tomorrow that i want to be a drug dealer...id get taxed etc...cos there are more of us we wont make as much money but still enough and the drug barrons will be screwed cos there havent monopolised the industry anymore...
Thing is what your doing is your screwing over big drug dealers by creating new ones...you may stop drug killingand stuff like that cos its a bit obvious if some rival drug lord dies on your turf but the simple basic fact is its cheaper for me to get drugs...if i want heroin i can go to a shop and get it and not only that i can get it for cheaper...
Guys maybe desperate for Sex but by legalizing it, the price of prostitution goes down and thus the monetary incentive that many girls find in prostitution is no longer there and thus go into other avenues.

Well said Saad, actually these people want Pakistani government would allow this few’s sake. Before arguing this sin, they forgot to apply it in their own environment, for example, they would say to allow prostitution in an area far from their homes. Why is this website full of young delusional Muslim women? It's just so sad hearing these women argue aimlessly with sticker quotes in tow. There's nothing wrong with them - i just think they belong on bumpers not forums.
If you're going to use religion, contextualize it and tell us how it applies to the case. Then tell us how your solution will solve the problem. No matter how amazing you are in Quranic studies, a verse will not make prositution go away by making it illegal. Learn from PCG and stop blabbering out verses left right and center. I don't agree with her in this particular case but she realizes we live in 2007. Those verses mean nothing without a proper context.

The person I was referring to was a law student who wanted to do something wild just for fun; I was referring to girls like her, who are willing to sell their bodies for a cheap thrill...they're not driven by economic need or even drugs, they didn't have horrible daddies who abused them or bad childhoods, they come from otherwise normal families, they just want to do something "fun" and in their mind, having sex and getting money out of it is just girls having fun. I have complete sympathy for girls who are kidnapped and sold into the sex trade, which is what happens in most third world countries; it's bad enough when someone acts under hte influence of drugs or economic need, but its absolutely despicable when someone who is of otherwise sane and rational mind still chooses to do something so immoral.
That said, prostitution is simply supply and demand; as long as men are pathetic and sick enough to visit prostitutes, the need for hookers willl exist. The ones who suffer the most in all of this will be the wife who catches HIV from her unfaithful husband, and unknowingly passes it on to her children via childbirth....

my main point is these haram desires are bad...money/or somewhere gold is always a weapon to create chaos, and disbalance both at macro n micro level.

I mean the period where our Islamic scholars used their heads. When they dealt with prostitution by training young girls how to be nurses. We'd send them to far corners of Egypt to help stop a growing epidemic of child mortality. The shame of Egypt, the very prostitutes that you all despise, are what gave rise to one of the greatest societies to ever grace our Islamic world. THAT was something to be proud of. That was modern!
Today in 2007 our leaders tell us to round up prostitutes, toss them into jails and kill them. Way to go.
