Re: Should Nawaz Sharif attend Narendra Modi's inauguration as India's Prime Minister
A Sharif family outing?
When Zardari goes to China or the UK, he is accompanied by his children. When Sharif goes to China, UK or India in this case, he has half of his family traveling with him. Then Khuwaja Saad Rafique says that "Nawaz Sharif is a statesman." Is this how a statesman acts?
But anyway, qaom ke aesey leaders bama ehl-o-ayiaal bohat bohat mubarak hoN.
didn't you know that N$ has admitted in an interview that his wife, Kulsum, is his political adviser as well. he consults her on various issues on country's affairs.

Re: Should Nawaz Sharif attend Narendra Modi's inauguration as India's Prime Minister
Modi has raised the issue of terrorism, Mumbai attacks and the recent attack on Indian Consulate (in Herat) among other issues.
he shd and he did the right thing..if we want some serious peace then both parties shd bring all of their grievances on the table upfront in a civilized and constructive way. Pak shd do the same and talk abt Balochistan and kashmir issue but both parties shd have a constructive tone..not a blaming saga
Re: Should Nawaz Sharif attend Narendra Modi's inauguration as India's Prime Minister
Yes modi has a tainted past but that was 12 years ago and since then we didnt see an y more riots in Gujarat.....we have to look forward....The Indian prime minister meeting his Pakistani counterpart on the first day in the office says a lot about his priorities..i said this befors and i say this again ... it just takes one move from stateless actors (taliban animals) in pak to derail the entire peace initiative.
Public and civil forces in pak shd rally behind Nawz to give him support that he needs to overcome resistance against peace..same is true abt Modi in india..
Re: Should Nawaz Sharif attend Narendra Modi's inauguration as India's Prime Minister
I am not sure if Modi should have raised the issues, that have been there for decades, in his first informal meeting with his invitee. A visit requested and responded out of courtesy by the two leaders could have ended on a better note by first creating some bilateral space between the premiers.

yaar he is under huge pressure by hardliners on his end for entertaining Pakistani PM, so he has to entertain those hard line elements as well. Like i said the Indian prime minister meeting his Pakistani counterpart on the first day in the office says a lot about his priorities...
Re: Should Nawaz Sharif attend Narendra Modi's inauguration as India's Prime Minister
what pressure? first day in office, election won on the campaign of "modi sarkar", not even "bjp sarkar". he could do whatever he wants at exactly this time - no bold move taken. i'm not holding my breath. "status quo" is all its going to be for the next few years too.
