Mush can be trialed in civil courts and executed for 1999 coup, jailed for keeping judges and their families illegal house arrest etc.
Should this be before or after Nawaz Sharif is tried and executed for hijacking flight PK 805, and the attempted murder of the 200 innocent passengers who were on board???
I think this is a very interesting 2 dimensional case. Let this happen in open trial and one of them would see the gallows. One of them is lying all along, let see what happens.
I think Musharraf should be given a way out by the means of a peaceful exit. I'm not for humiliating any ex-politician(s) because afterall, they were brought to the power by the public. Learn to accept and share in the wrong and right alike.
He could be sealed within the country and put under house arrest like AQ Khan. That would be quite fair and generous of the Parliament for him.
Pakistan has got to quit sending its politicians/general out of the country for whatever reason. It just tarnishes the country's image because it cannot even host its own citizens.
Bottomline: Leave an exit option open for him. Give him a place of residence of his choice and limit his activities that might otherwise intervene in the Governmental affairs. Keep your friends close, but your enemies even closer.
He should be hung in public by the civilians.... then paraded in front of the army elites as a 'coming attraction' for any future haram khor looking for similar endeavor.

That would be fair by all means, but then we wouldn't be moving forward with a cool-minded mentality; something everyone and their mama is intent on preaching nowadays.
Maybe the public should get to decide his fate with no bias or input/pressure from any politician. Sort of a punishment vote or a poll. <---Something which should apply and be practiced for everyone from now onwards from ministers to President(s), that would keep some in check while allowing the good-doers to get a much needed boost from public and do the righteous work.

I agree, following people IMO must be punished (no pardoning):
Nawaz Sharif, Asif Zardari, Musharraf, Ch Iftikhar, people who attacked or threatened courts (High court or Supreme Court), Altaf Hussein.
The list can go on and on but these are the high profile people I believe MUST be punished for the crimes they committed.

Yaar coup for preplanned by Mushrraf and his generals. All you have to do is read his book. He admitted that. As for NS, he has to go too. If he really was responsible for putting the lives of passengers on an aircraft in danger than he deserves to be punished (oh waited he was convicted & jailed for that).

No, not really. Mushrraf was never elected to anything. He imposed himself on the nation and appointed himself president (only in Pakistan) 1st time around. In any case, I'm with SG. If you break the law, no matter who you are or what your status is in society, you must be punish. In other words, laws should be applied to all equally.
sitting here, thinkinng all these wild thoughts about what to do with Mushy. what did we manage to do with Nawaz and Zardari after they looted the country?
Kounsa khamba ukhaar liya!!?
You guys make it sound as if you have a say in any of pak affairs! we dont. Only they do!!!
Check out Geos "saare zameen pe" to se what im talking bout!!!
But yes You're right about who's gonna listen or care part. I'm sure everyone here knows that. The point of this is so we can mature our mentality and not act like hooligans because we are the new identity of Pakistan, even while we're not there. So these suggestions/debates/opinions serve to make us aware of what is going on and what should be done about it, had we the choice to do anything about it.
missed the notorious name, my mistake. still including whole military to burn in hell??? does amaze me.
I am not born hater of PPP or NS , I voted for both parties one by one, they didnt act according to expactations. atleast I have exercises my right not to support them again, I am not stuck to them forever if do it bad I will leave them like any democratic person would do.
Fortunately I dont fall into people who mentally accepted bhuttos as their political fathers for life, all Pakistanis are same and have the same rights.
Maddy, we need to do Bhutto like end to a military dictator so they would know how it hurts badly. I hope we will never see another military a$$4ole again.
As I said, killing a military dicator won't deter future ones. It will merely dter future dictators from ever peacefully relinquishing power.
If you kill today's dictator after he willingly releases power, tomorrow's dictator will know that unless he kills everyone who stands in his way he will die himself.
Indeed, killing a dictator after he peacefulyl relinquishes power means that the next dictator will have no choice but to kill his opponents, because if they win they will kill him.
Real Deal, Millitary (in this context) is ofcourse the military establishment and top brass who plays with country's future and keep adding plots in defence under their names. Some times using common sense does not hurt. Who will bad mouth the innocent and patriot soldiers who are there to earn bread for their poor families and defend the countries.
Sorry Maddy I don't agree, I think this is a cruicial time in our history. We have to reinstate judiciary, jail the DIG and other police/establishment that were involved in March 12 incident. Let this parliment remove 52B and all other power centering ammendments.
Let Judiciary, Media and Parliment be powerful and keep Army in barracks. Once Judiciary and Parliment have their deserving power sharing model in place along with presidency, then corruption would be very difficult for the chors like Zardari and NS. And if they do, then media and judiciary can deal with it. We have living example next door, India. Corruption happens, but the culprits are also unveiled. It reduces if not clears the corruption.
Let Judiciary, Media and Parliment be powerful and keep Army in barracks.
Judiciary, Media, and Parliament have no power over an Army leader who chooses to take over.
No legal ruling can be made against a man who would choose to dismiss the judiciary and replace it with loyalists.
No broadcast can be made against a man who seizes control of all broacasting equipment.
No Parliament can condemn a man who dissolves it at gunpoint and does not allow it to to convene.
There is no safeguard that can prevent another military takeover. What we can do, however, is ensure that the door to a peaceful exit is always open so that the bloodless restoration of civilian rule is always a viable option.
Mush can be trialed in civil courts and executed for 1999 coup, jailed for keeping judges and their families illegal house arrest etc.
Magar iss billy kay galay main yeh ghanti kon bandhay ga ? If parliament tries to impeach him he will sack it. If the courts try something like that he can sack the courts. The military will not entertain the idea because then it will have to court marshal everybody.
I hope I do not have to repeat the story of the mice's, the cat and the idea of tying the bell around cats neck ?
