Re: Should Head Scarves be banned in Primary Schools?
Well, it’s an Islamic school and hijab is an aspect they want to teach them young. But as for going overboard like forcing niqab/abaya etc, it’s just so they get into the habit of it, they’re surrounded by girls who are doign the exact same things, so I don’t think it’s as bad as a 12 year old who’d be wearing the same thing in a public school setting. What really annoyed me was how the principal almost didn’t let them go on a school trip to Rye playland coz it was “inappropriate” My cousins are 13-10-9-6 years old and they’ve been going there from the beginning. Only teh oldest one wears a scarf outside of school, I dunno if the other three will take it up yet. Niqab is one thing, but if a parent doens’t believe that a headscarf is required, then I dont’ see any point in sending them to an Islamic school full time.
Re: Should Head Scarves be banned in Primary Schools?
Environment plays a heavy role in the upbringing of a child, and nature depends on how the parents are and their personality traits/genetic makeup. So the likelihood of my kids turning out as you are umm nil :p
Re: Should Head Scarves be banned in Primary Schools?
islamic position is clear that every muslim girl has to wear hijab now if u don,t wanna wear it good for u:halo: … but u have no rite to criticeze the islamic point of view and to say that u feel sorry for them is plain ignorant at ur part and u r committing sin by encouraging others to the same as ur self:o…

Re: Should Head Scarves be banned in Primary Schools?
For example they get pregnant at the age of 9?
I mean if you are talking about Great Britain then yeah, so many school girls get pregnant because of their activities in all aspects of school life.
Re: Should Head Scarves be banned in Primary Schools?
One of primary teacher (my friend) she is daughter of a Imam masjid, she has been wearing headscarf but as started teaching in primary state school, stopped wearing that headscarf inside school while teaching to kids by saying " I dont want to Scare children, its ok its just 5-12 years old children". And she also thinks for primary girls its not obligatory.
Parents make their children do many things, e.g they send them to **catholic schools **early in the morning though sometimes they don't want to go. They make them learn their lessons though they don't want to revise. They make them take their medicines when they are sick though they don't want to take medicines.
The school punishes students if they don't come in proper uniform. Why?
Shouldn't such schools be banned which take disciplinary actions against those who violate rules and regulations?
And yes, if the head scarves make the head hot then the tie causes some pupils to feel suffocation. Or not?
Re: Should Head Scarves be banned in Primary Schools?
No evidence ........ Are almost 40 muslim girls in each primary school without headscarf get pregnant? How come 4/5 girls with scarf are going to get pregnant? Majority are active in studies and other activities without getting pregnant......... :)
Re: Should Head Scarves be banned in Primary Schools?
So you believe in discrimination towards Muslims which is why you are suggesting that parents should send their Islamically dressed children to Islamic Schools?
By the way you didn't answer my questions, and now I have one more question to you; According to you, head scarves make some girls feel hot, then what the **short skirt **being part of Unifrom in Catholic or Church Schools make girls feel in very cold weather?
Do their naked legs perspire during snowfall?
Re: Should Head Scarves be banned in Primary Schools?
I dont think feeling hot is a good reason. I wear several layers and its very hot in the summers. You eventually get used to it. It's like the girls who wear short shorts and insist they feel too hot to wear jeans. I mean, really? It's a state of mind.
Re: Should Head Scarves be banned in Primary Schools?
just feeling hot is not main reason so many factors have been considered.
if you read the whole thread then would be able to know:), its not obligatory for a girl child age 5-12 in a primary school.
