Re: Should Head Scarves be banned in Primary Schools?
*Girls in primary schools are complete strictly in uniform.........they are not allowed to wear any make up, skimpy clothes, 95% muslim girls of pakistani origin without head scarves, I believe not daddy's whores at homes, in these primary schools all over uk, not just in catholic ones. :) *
Re: Should Head Scarves be banned in Primary Schools?
Islamic position is also very clear on when a girl needs to do hijab (whateer ones definition of hijab is).. i dont recall reading anywhere that an elementary age girl needs to do hijab.
Re: Should Head Scarves be banned in Primary Schools?
Okeee......i am not getting into all the personal attacking here.....but i will just say wht i think of the topic as a whole......... okeee..........(as far as my knowledge goes -i might be wrong though)according to the quran wearing scarves before the girl reaches puberty is not necessary........but after tht it is...... there r a few things though........... parents should 1st teach the child from a very young age as to y they want her to wear the scarf /niqaab......& encourage her to love it........ then when she finally starts wearing it.........they should encourage her to take part in co-curricular activities too.....& make her self-confident.........scarf in itself is supposed to be no hindrance.....it's just the lack of confidence & islamic knowledge tht 'causes the girls to feel tht way.......... & well if the parents make there kid wear the scarf ...they r doing no wrong..........as the wali(dad) of the girl responsible for her till she is married.......tht is he get's the gunah too.......( i might be wrong though....but this is wht i think...if i am wrong abt this...plz provide me the source...then i shall edit my post)
& well one's the girl is self confident.......then she can face the entire world with no prob's @ all...........
Re: Should Head Scarves be banned in Primary Schools?
well your pals taleban did that dinn they, i.e. saved the girls from the burden of education period.
point is simple which u are trying to avoid, there is no law in ialsm that tells ppl to have little girls do hijab, its their choice, so if a school bans hijab for primary aged girls, one can not whine that its anti religion.
Re: Should Head Scarves be banned in Primary Schools?
no law saying that new borns can not be in bikinis, cant take her to the swimming pool in her abaya now can I.
that is not the point, this whole notion of lets start them off early so they are used to it is a very dangerous notion, i mean can we start having infants fast during ramadan…to get them used to fasting.
tell girls what hijab is, educate them have them wear it as they are at an age when they should be doing hijab (whatever ones definition of hijab may be) but putting them on a 3 year old is no religious duty.
Re: Should Head Scarves be banned in Primary Schools?
................thats why these girls are having low achievement in primary schools, are horribly suppressed by parents utterly unable to concentrate on studies........they can just look at other muslim girls while playing and doing other activies and they really looked perplexed.
