This is a sad situation indeed. Since she is in early stages of pregnancy, I believe another option could be to abort the baby. Abortion should never be an option, but within the first six weeks of pregnancy the fetus isn't exactly alive. So she could be saving herself and her family from a lot of trouble by doing just that. She MUST repent as well, and stay faithful to her husband.

No doubt about what you are saying. But now the issue is , that this friend is wondering if she or any of the other 3 people tell the husband that the baby is not his and he is a sore loser. That is the biggest problem that such a big secret causes lot of stomach ache in the those who know such a big secret.
I am sure that girl is already in trouble and losing her sleep over it now and she is trying to keep it a secret.
It is not a secret like she went to a party when he was not home kind of a secret it is a grand secret so anybody who knows it has to be strong enough to keep it to themselves.

It would still be a sad thing to do, and I for one, would never advocate abortion. However, she must do damage control, and that means making some hard choices. She must completely forget about that ****ole, and show remorse through action and the continued struggle to stay strong.
Now when I read the first post again these are my thoughts.
If she had fling with this other guy , one day before the wedding , this girl wanted to punish someone , herself , her husband , her own family for arranging this wedding.
She seems to still have the longing with this guy and wants to ruin this marriage. Otherwise if she slept with this other guy one day before her wedding then how can she be sure that this baby does not belong to her husband. Is her husband impotent ?
As far as I know only DNA testing can be a definitive proof before the baby is born , once the baby is born there can be other signs like someone said above , blue eyes , blond hair , black skin etc.
So looks like more is going on in this situation then meets the eye.

Abortion and then lying and saying she had a miscarriage is not the way to undo a sin, it's actually a much much much bigger sin.
Islamically, the best solution would have been to marry the baby's father, I'm sure I read somewhere that if the couple marries within a certain time limit the baby can be regarded as legitimate. Will have to try and find the reference for that tho. If she doesn't have much of a relationship with the real father tho I would have thought the next 'best' (relatively speaking) thing would be to keep the baby but not marry the man who isn't the father. Can't see how deception is the answer, it's just the easy way out imo. And God knows what might happen if it all comes out later on....
Why bother doing paternity tests and all that mumbo jumbo and waste time!???
