What's the latest on bol? Has anyone got more updates? The last I heard, the production team had wrapped up the shooting. Will this take another 3 years on the editing table, like Khuda Ke Liye did? I'm hoping not.
Another exciting news for all those waiting for Shoaib Mansoor’s upcoming highly-awaited project ‘Bol‘ is that Hadiqa Kiani has just recorded the title track for the film. This is the second song that she has recorded for the Atif Aslam starer ‘Bol’, first one being ‘Kaho’, an upbeat and high energy rock song with Atif Aslam. There are also some rumors that Shabnam Majeed and Faiza Mujahid (who sang a song for Shoman’s previous project) have also given songs for the original soundtrack of the film. So, if the rumors are to be considered true then the original soundtrack features Atif Aslam, Hadiqa Kiani, Omer Nadeem, Shabnam Majeed & Faiza Mujahid. Now, this looks one exciting music album for all the Pakistani Pop music lovers out there. The film is expected to release in the second half of 2010 or early 2011 which means that the soundtrack will be out in a few months. Stay tuned for more updates related to the film.

The official website has been launched although it shows nothing but the poster of the movie( i am guessing that thats what it is)

^ allah na karai lol...i am just saying they usually make crappy dramas seem like they are the best available out there. and with movies when you know its a shoman movie...its bound to recieve all the attention! and plus I have heard its about a controversial topic related to muslims.

has anyone seen Geo News advertise the plane crash? It was completely intolerable how within a day of the crash they came out w/ their promo of how great geo news is and how one of its reports went "nangay paaon" to capture the news. Tauba!!

^^ Yes, it's a little incestuous the way they sing their own praises. Kind of low-brow -- I've rarely seen any reputable channel anywhere in the world do it. But it doesn't come as a surprise as the Jang group generally is not known for the most ethically sound journalism ethics. Way back in their 90s, the editor of their English language daily 'The News' launched a smear campaign against the movie "Jinnah" as he was HIMSELF looking to be casted in the lead role (!). This is not a joke -- I'm talking about Imran Aslam here as his voice and appearance does bear a certain resemblance to Jinnah. Besides that, their Urdu newspaper is horrible and so messy you can't even read it. The clutter on the GEO news screen is nothing compared to the awfulness of their newspapers...jeez, I know I'm just rambling about how bad they are, but I had to vent it out. Shoman probably went for them out of pure economic considerations as (sadly) GEO is the channel the semi-literate Pakistanis patronize the most.

I find GEO unbearable also but I know GEO films make a huge effort to fully promote their films e.g. KKL, Ramchand Pakistani, Zibakhana and Virsa were all backed by GEO films. I hate to admit it but they are the best in the publicity game.

I am not too sure about Atif Aslam being the main cast in this film....the guy can sing but acting in this movie? errr
I loved "Khuda Ke liye" and really hope SM will keep up!

Correction atif isn't a lead....he said it himself he plays a very small but very important role of a low profile doctor...........methinks( I hate it when DAWN images uses that word but it works here lol) that he plays an abortion doctor;)
The movie is based around the red light area of lahore.....the main girl is somehow kidnapped or sold by a relative into the red light area....(this is all I know of the movie based on people who are working on bol

Wow this film sounds controversial already. Humaima has revealed that she plays a tawaif - does that mean she’s the main lead? 
Iman Ali was also spotted during the film’s shooting…she was dressed rather flamboyantly…
