Re: Shia and Suni ?
e-Toffee
It is many places That Allah told us exatly the same
**
The verse is repeated quite a few time in holy quran. It means Allah want us common muslims to ponder what he said in holy quran. It is very easy.
It is only the molvis of every sect that tell common folk not to read with understanding just to retain their monopoly on their minds.
Okay just a question, plz dunt take it to sunni vs shia convo again.
And certainly We have made the Quran easy for remembrance, but is there anyone who will mind? {17} Ad treated (the truth) as a lie, so how (great) was My punishment and My warning! {18} Surely We sent on them a tornado in a day of bitter ill-luck {19} Tearing men away as if they were the trunks of palm-trees torn up. {20} How (great) was then My punishment and My warning! {21} *And certainly We have made the Quran easy for remembrance, but is there anyone who will mind? {22} *
I thought we were arrguing on wether Quran is easy to understand, not remember... If it was hard to remember, we wont have that many hafiz-e-Quran ( not saying that Hifz doesnt mean any thing .. off course Its A great thing )
Now come to understanding, "but is there anyone who will mind ?" can u plz try to explain i kind of get different meanings from this aaya.
Thanks
Wasalam
Aqeel.
aqeel123 Just to make a small point.
And We have indeed made the Qur’an easy to understand and remember: then is there any that will receive admonition? [Yusufali 54:17]
But We have indeed made the Qur’an easy to understand and remember: then is there any that will receive admonition? [Yusufali 54:22]
And We put coverings over their hearts (and minds) lest they should understand the Qur’an, and deafness into their ears: when thou dost commemorate thy Lord and Him alone in the Qur’an, they turn on their backs, fleeing (from the Truth). [Yusufali 17:46]
And We place upon their hearts veils **lest they should understand **it, and in their ears a deafness; and when thou makest mention of thy Lord alone in the Qur’an, they turn their backs in aversion. [Pickthal 17:46]
And who doth more wrong than one who is reminded of the Signs of his Lord, but turns away from them, forgetting the (deeds) which his hands have sent forth? Verily We have set veils over their hearts** lest they should understand this**, and over their ears, deafness, if thou callest them to guidance, even then will they never accept guidance. [Yusufali 18:57]
And who doth greater wrong than he who hath been reminded of the revelations of his Lord, yet turneth away from them and forgetteth what his hands send forward (to the Judgment)? Lo! on their hearts We have placed coverings** so that they understand not**, and in their ears a deafness. And though thou call them to the guidance, in that case they can never be led aright. [Pickthal 18:57]
The Arabic Yasserna – means to make ‘easy to ‘understand’
Check the translations of the relevant ayahs:
The following article will be of help
Belief In The Unseen: Quran has been made easy to understand:
Brother aqeel, I was anticipating similar response.
I have quoted the whole passage so that it is easy to grasp the meaning of ayat. Easy for remembrance is in the meaning that Allah made it easy for people so that they ‘keep in mind what is told in these ayaat’.
Keep in mind and always remember which deeds Allah disliked and how he punished the offenders, and which deeds he liked and rewarded.
There is no concept of learning quran by heart and not knowing the meaning of ayaat one is reciting. Sadly Non-arabic speaking muslims only stressed on learning to read and recite arabic only, but not its meaning.
It is good that now educated people pay lot of attention to the meanings :k:
Assalam o alikum
Shia and Sunni never fight. There is a small group between shia's names nusehree's and a small group between sunni's names kharji. They fight with each other. Nusehree's are those who call Hazrat Ali (as) Aallah. And kharji's are those who thought that they know Islam better than any one. Made their own laws such as..... If any one commits a sin he must be slaughtered. These Nusehree's abuse Sahaba karam(rz) and Kharji's abuse hazrat Ali(as). These are the two groups which fight with each other not shia's and sunni's.

although I applaud your intentions, what u have said is extremely inaccurate
Re: Shia and Suni ?
I agree, its not really true, although it sounds kool. Moreover i wanted to add, among shia's and sunni's there are people who fight. But mostly its personal, rather than arguing abt religion being rite ,... they insisit on "i am rite part".

aqeel123 Just out of curiosity, where do you stand? :)
1) I don't know
2) I'm not sure
3) May be may be not.
Re: Shia and Suni ?
We all worship the same Allah, i dont understand why we fight. every muslim is special, as is any other person following any other religion. we have no right to judge them for the way they live their lives, thats Allahs job, not ours.
Re: Shia and Suni ?
okay let me make it clear my reply was to the post that said, shia and sunni never fight.
I dont agree with it at all, off course sunni and shia fight. (unfortunately)
so from the options u gave my answer wud be none of above...
4) I strongly disagree with the statement.
However i wud have liked it if the statement was true.
Asalam o Alaykum
ahnaf- com
you can find the reason of shia sunni fights here
there is allot of shia videos where they are cursing companions of prophet and umhat ul momineen this is the basic reason of fight, when they curse them they face sunni protest.
i can see mr aqeel and some other shia's are trying to hide the facts but you can see videos on this website and i hope there will be no more questions in your mind after watching that videos.
okay i guess am not Loud Enough when I say ....
"OFF COURSE SHIA AND SUNNI DO FIGHT"
I have never disagreed with shia's Cursing Shaba's Who Had hatered for Ali a.s
Although some people were saying that shia's are against all sahaba's and i didnt agree their.
Now lets talk about the topic that is closed.
So u wana know who ahleybait are.... Lets look at 33:33 .... Allah said He has Intentions of keeping Ahleybait clean and i am sure u would agree when i say... "When ALLAH intends to do something that means its happening."
So find people Amongs Prophet s.a.w's Family who are clean from Nijasat and Gunah's and tell me who among Prophet s.a.w's Family is Left.
Also dont forget the word. "Ley Uz hib" which means keeping away not taking out find some arabic dictionary and help yourself. however when some of molana's translate it; they use the word "take out" or something similar.
Now whats the difference between keeping away and taking out .. Simple if someone is nijas u have to take Nijasat out and when someone is clean u have to keep nijasat away from him/her.
Re: Shia and Suni ?
To answer the original question; it is mainly one-sided propaganda against a minority.
so many times i come across folks not asking me, but TELLIING me what i believe in, and when i clarify that its false or makes no sense, they foolishly insist that its true.
also some have the devil image of shias embedded in minds from childhood...they find it difficult to adapt to reality if and when they meet one later on. so many times ive had the 'you cant be one,... your just like us...' or 'you cant be...your not like them'...' reaction...its surprising.
the good thing however is..once convinced, years of propaganda comes tumbling down within minutes; as they try and re-adjust mentally. And no, they dont appreciate the bunch of lies they've been told for so long.
so as long as you dont teach hate to your kids, theres still hope...otherwise expect it to continue for some time to come....and while your at it, you can accept yourselves as a culprit too.
because shias eat sunni babies.
dintchaknow.
^ LOL
^ arrray?! bohat yummy thay kiya?!! ![]()
joke aside, the version I was told as a kid was that shia kidnap sunni kids, hang them upside down and then make a hole in their forehead. Then they drain their blood in a pot to cook rice for muharam.
There were a lot other bad/evil things I was told about shia while growing up. Which actually worked. I always kept my self from shia students in school and college.
But Alhamdolilah! none of them were true :biggthumb
waisay Ma Mooli’s post reminded me of this post ![]()
Re: Shia and Suni ?
^^ funniest story i heared was from my cousin. we were like 7 or 8 and she tells me that ...shia people are so bad they do this and that to kids and killed prophet and e.t.c and i was like .. hey i am shia and so r you, and she goes no we cant be shia; we dunt do all this stuff. then i had to take her to her parents to convince her we were shias lol.
Re: Shia and Suni ?
hahaha.
The earliest i recall is at age 8/9 when another kid came up to me and proceeds to tell me that i am shia. A tad confused at the well known non revelation, i replied matter of factly that I was.
Puzzled at my reaction she repeated it again, to which i said the same thing and in the the end we both just walked away equally confuzzled. i didnt see what she was getting at, until i realised, she'd obviously thought it was some swear word...and was prolly shocked, that I'd been blatantly agreeing. :-D

Something must be seriously wrong at the home front!!
For 7 to 8 or 8 to 9 year olds to have such negative impressions about themselves must come from the parents at that tender age!!
Smacks of some sort of inferiority complex syndrome imparted in the home front to such impressionable minds.
May be they were living in of some very hard core Sunni neighbourhood!!
I thinks same would apply to Sunnis kids living Sadr city or any hardcore Shia neighbourhood.
Trust me Sunnis are quite accommodating ![]()
