Hi can anyone explain why shia and suni fights each other what is the basic issue?

Who says shia and sunni fight with each other ? What you see or hear about are riots not fights. There is no particular reason for any riot. Riots have been known to be caused after a football match in very civilized West. No ?

All of us (muslims) believe in One ALLAH and One Quran .... However its not easy to understand Quran so every sect has their own understands so u see a confilt in believes.
The basic common Belive in muslims is that Nabooat and Risalat ( Prohecy ) comes from ALmighty ALLAH (ALLAH Appoints Prophets) and then after Prophet Shia Belives in Imamat and Sunni's Believe in Khilafat.
Shia believes r that Imamat Comes from ALLAH too, while sunni believes that Khilafat doesnt Come from ALLAH.
Dunt wana go in detail

Fights ? i wud be turning my face away from reality if i said there r no fights ... mostly i have seen debates and then extremist get into fights
(this is an opnion not a fact So i might have different reasoning than someone else)

what do you mean no fights? they are bombing each other' mosques.

BTW aqueel, did you mean to say "sunni don't believe khilafat doesn't come from Allah"?

Also what does Naboaat, Imamat and Khilafat mean literally?

I said there r fights and they come from extremists ... In my Village there is one mosque for sunni's and shia's.
there is one more mosque for sunni's only ... but u can Hear YA ALI more in that Mosque then shia/sunni mosque.

Bunch of people can sit together and decide who is next caliph (khalifa) but bunch of people cant sit and decide who is next Prophet and in Shia's People cant decide whoz next Imam ... Previous Imam Tells bfr he leaves the world abt next Imam And Prophet tells abt the first Imam !
Anyway this can be a sunni shia debate.. so i dunt wana get into this

Nabooat comes from ALLAH .. ALLAH Sends his nabis to Earth to guide us and Shia believe is same for Imamat ...
However khilafat ... People decide who is next Khailfa
again their cud be difference of opnion !

most shia sunni fights have other hidden agnedas ethnic , socio-economic factors which are labelled as "sectarian".Very few actually fight for theological reasons.

A good case study would be to trace the rise of SSP in rural punjab and why it gained popularity in Jhang.

With exceptions on the fringe..the dispute is political, in it's day it appears to an outsider as reflection of a power struggle between the family of the Prophet (pbuh) and those who advocated a Khalifah which was not linked to a family. The former lost, the latter won..the supporters of the former became Shia and the latter became sunnis.

The reality was quite different, the family (Banu Ummayah) which assumed power under the pretense of supporting a democratic Khalifat were in fact fighting a inter family dispute with the Prophets side of the family and swiftly turned on those who were there supporters and turned the Khilafat into a Monarchy.

In the modern age of jahalat, extremists shias use this debate to insult the sahabas for having abandoned their loyalty to the Prophet (pbuh) and by extension his family and extremist sunnis use the debate to insult Hazrat Ali and Imam Hussain ..

some shias curse some sahaba(ra) and sunnis don't like that. I think we(sunnis) should learn to ignore these kinda fights and concentrate on better things.

yup that's right they don't get along at all , but i've seen exceptions too, like married couples where one spouse is sunni and other is shia, and they're happy with each other allhumdulillah

The Hindu's have the caste system, the Christians the denominations and Muslims these sects. All different names for classifying and divvying up. Only difference is all others accept there are difference whereas most muslims I have come across are very nervous about admitting in the presance of non-muslims that such institutionalized divides exist.

the origin was political, then given religious disguise for political reasons and then the followers lost their way....

HOW CAN U SAY ; WE SUNNI DO NOT CURSE :

Bukhari and Muslim in the Sahih, Allama Samhudi in Ta'rikhu'l-Medina, Abu'l-Faraj Bin Jauzi in Kitabu'r-Radd Ala'l-Muta'asibu'l-Anid, Sibt Ibn Jauzi in Tadhkira-e-Khawasu'l-Umma, Imam Ahmad Bin Hanbal in Musnad and others quote the Holy Prophet as saying: "If anyone frightens and oppresses the people of Medina, Allah will frighten him (i.e., on the Day of Judgement). He will be cursed by Allah, by the angels, and by all humanity. And on the Day of Judgement, Allah will not accept any of his deeds."

The Prophet also said: "Curse be on him who frightens my city (the people of Medina)." Didn't this mass slaughter frighten the people of Medina? If it did, then acknowledge along with the Prophet, the angels, and all the people that that wicked malefactor was cursed and will go on being cursed until the Day of Judgement.

The majority of your ulema have cursed Yazid. Abdullah Bin Muhammad Bin Amir Shabrawi Shafi'i in Kitabu'l-Ittihaf be Hubbi'l-Ashraf Raji' ba La'n-e-Yazid, page 20, writes that when the name of Yazid was mentioned before Mulla Sa'd Taftazani, he said: "Curse be on him and on his companions and helpers." Allama Samhudi in his Jawahiru'l-Iqdain, is reported to have said: "The ulema in general have concurred that it is permitted to curse him who murdered Imam Husain, or who ordered him to be murdered, or who sanctioned his murder, or who agreed to his murder."

Ibn Jauzi, Abu Ya'la, and Salih Bin Ahmad, arguing from the verses of the Holy Qur'an write that, "It is proven that cursing Yazid is permissible. It is the duty of all Muslims that they should know the rights that Imam Husain has over them, and how, with the strength of his suffering oppression and tyranny, he watered the tree of Islam with his own blood and the blood of his family. Otherwise, that blessed tree might have died because of the tyranny of the Bani Umayya. It was Husain who gave Islam a new life."

For once heed the advice of your Imam!!

With regard to me, two categories of people will be ruined, namely he who loves me too much and the love takes him away from rightfulness, and he who hates me too much and the hatred takes him away from rightfulness. The best man with regard to me is he who is on the middle course. So be with him and be with the great majority (of Muslims) because Allah's hand (of protection) is on keeping unity. You should beware of division because the one isolated from the group is (a prey) to Satan just as the one isolated from the flock of sheep is (a prey) to the wolf.

How typical of you to ignore the advice and command of Hz. Ali (ra) whom you take to be your first infallible imam!!

He says that you should be with the great majority of the Believers - and 12ers being 10% - 15% ain't the the Great Majority and never have been such.

For once heed the advice of your Imam!!

We have the similar in 'our' hadith:

*Prophet (Salla Allahu ta'ala alayhi wa Sallam) said " There was disagreement amongst Jews and they split into 72 groups. In exactly the same way, there will be disagreement and divisions in my Ummah. It will split into 73 groups. Apart from one of those groups, all the remaining 72 will be thrown into Hell."

When asked which group will be on the right path, the Prophet (Salla Allahu Alayhi wa Sallam) replied, "The group on the right path, which will enter Paradise, will be the group which follows my Sunna and that of my Sahaba and this will be the largest group of Muslims." [Tirmidhi, Imam Ahmad, Abu Daud, Mishkat]

The Holy Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) said: "Allah will never allow my Ummah to unite upon misguidance and incorrect beliefs. Allah's mercy, blessings and protection are with the largest group of Muslims. And he who deviates from this largest group of Muslims will be thrown into Hell." (Tirmizi)

The Holy Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) said: "He who deviates from the largest group of Muslims, even as much as a hand span, has himself cut off his connection with Islam". (Abu Dawud)*

Now as the great Imam says the 'great majority can't be fakes (your words).
