come to think of it. does this actually happen???

i have known so many posh girls and way too well off ladies around but trust me they do not become so religious after and just about any mis hap. heck they just cant stop roaming around and going for shopping n stuff

ok i understand the morale of the story is very good but, in reality i have not at all come across anyone as such who after so much glitz n glam turns religious… especially in this age level!!!

then again its my observation and opinion

Any moment in one’s life can be a turning point. Hidayat milnay ki baat hai .. Allah doesnt differentiate b/w people living in posh areas or suburbs

all three of them were pop singers n now preaching islam....

ofcourse...sara chaudry,sadia imam,inzamam-ul-haq,saeed anwar and many others !!! THIS is what the whole /play story about. the dialogue of that beggar she met on the beach is the total jist of the novel/story.

thats what i said… pata nahi shayed aisa ho magar yahan in uae and yes in pak also… i have seen so many way too well off ladies, un k paas namaz parhnay ko time nahi hai, and if u say anything religious they call u paindoo

it happened to me as well. i was at a bakwaas kitty party where namaz ka waqt ho gaya phir i said mujay namaz k liye jana hai kabba kis teraf hai, some of the girls literally started staring each other and then aik khamosh PAUSE kay baad, aik konay say awaz ai ap us kamray mein chali jao, wahan auntiyaan baithi hui haen un say pooch laen

^ thats really sad..we went to our neighbours in ramzan(iftar party)....so i asked for qibla (for maghrib namaz ofcourse)n they didnt know...then i figured the directions from my home as it was located opposite to theirs....

I read that zindigi gulzar hai will replace shehr e zaat and I believe it's first episode will air October 19. That means only 2 more episodes of shehr e zaat!! right now falak is in a transitional phase- questioning everything in life and exploring her inner self. It's not a journey that will complete overnight and i am not sure how much justice can be done to this journey in just two episodes, plus wrapping up stories of all the other characters. I hope umera doesn't pull a faiza iftikhar here!

doree, since I have read the novel, I think two episodes will be enough and justified to show how falak gets a hold of her life finally

when you are watching any drama, all of a sudden jub itna kuch ho raha hota hai in next episode likha aa jata hai 7 saal baad ya 10 years later… so be ready…

The book is a single person narrative so i can see that happening, but translating that to a third person narrative on-screen has increased the scope and introduced additional characters. And that's why i am a little nervous about how they will wrap it all up. Hope you are right and they are able to give us a satisfying ending!

if you read the book,you will be amazed how the director never bothered to add a single scene/dialogue on his own.. when it says ’ uss ne sabz saree pehni’ , they made her wear that green saree and when umera write ‘uss ne usi taraf dekha’ you see that happening in the drama so I am pretty sure it would be DITTO what they have it in the book

I don’t see how that can be seen as a bad thing. A director staying true to the original script should be considered a sensible director! Any changes that were made like the addition of Humza’s character were by Umera herself. If the writer described Falak wearing a green sari in the novel why would the director change that?

It is a thought provoking drama and we should all be learning something from the message conveyed in it. I believe everything is handled beautifully in it so far. Really sad that it is coming to an end…

News flash!! Zindigi gulzar hai will now air oct 26th. Not sure what hum tv has in mind. Maybe a special transmission after shehr e zaat ends
