Re: Shamsi Airbase

yet you and many Indians are here poking noses

Re: Shamsi Airbase

I will do as I please, thank you very much.

Re: Shamsi Airbase

Obviously you will do as you please and we will kindly tell you to get lost.

Re: Shamsi Airbase

Yes, there is no known cure for the disease indians are suffering from since 1947.

Obsession about Pakistan, that is.

Someone has rightfully said, india is a big country which always thinks small. And watching indians on these boards, we need not wonder why.

Re: Shamsi Airbase

And yes you can get lost too. :)

Re: Shamsi Airbase

Being a Pakistani on Indian forum your response would hold more weight.

Re: Shamsi Airbase

^^ Good one :k:

Re: Shamsi Airbase

Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl urged the government to remain steadfast over its decision of boycotting the Bonn conference.

“We endorse the government’s decision but do not know whether it will maintain the stance,” Haideri said. He demanded the government to ask the US to vacate four other airbases: the Shahbaz airbase in Sindh, the Khalid airbase in Balochistan and two other bases in Dalbandin and Pasni.

lets see if they ask americans to vacate other bases as well! ... not very hopeful though!

Re: Shamsi Airbase

These bases are increasing every day, first it was Shamsi, and then Shahbaz and Pasni, and now we have got Dalbandin and Khalid. Interestingly out of these five bases four are in Balochistan, what would be its significance?

Re: Shamsi Airbase

Okay where are all these new bases coming from? Seriously PAF has 4 air bases in Balochistan. For what? Iran?

Edit: List of Pakistan Air Force bases - Wikipedia
Pakistani Air Bases

And

Where the frick are Dalbandin and Khalid now?

Re: Shamsi Airbase

i remember reading somewhere that shehbaz airbase was already vacated sometime in early 2011, there is a small number of USAF "technicians" though, which are part of the bundle that came with F16 Block52, and what technitians may mean we all know.

pasni was mainly used by US marines, there were reports everal years ago

never heared of dalbadin and khalid being handed over to USA....

nobody is talking about their huge fortified facility near mangla

American aircraft arrives at Shamsi base**

**QUETTA: An American aircraft arrived in Pakistan on Sunday for US nationals vacating the Shamsi airbase in Balochistan, DawnNews reported.

**Strict security measures were being taken place in the area and residents were told not to leave their homes.

According to sources, the process of shifting the US nationals into to the aircraft had started already. The road leading towards the airport had also been sealed for security purposes.

Pakistan had demanded that the US leave the airbase used for drone flights within 15 days of the Nato attack in Mohmand Agency on November 26 that left 24 Pakistani soldiers dead.

Re: Shamsi Airbase

Dunya News is reporting that the Yankees are evacuating Shamsi Airbase.

Good for the peace in South Asia.

Re: Shamsi Airbase

But wait Americans were saying there were no Americans at Shamsi base. Oh guess what they lied!!!

I also bet they lied about other things…like we gave permission to attack the outposts.

Re: Shamsi Airbase

yes a couple of days back they were saying that there were no Americans there, and that they are not even flying drones from there now.

Re: Shamsi Airbase

http://www.thenews.com.pk/NewsDetail.aspx?ID=28257&title=US-equipment-vacated-from-Shamsi-air-base–According to this article the base is now clear of US troops/activity.

Re: Shamsi Airbase

Didn’t Iran sign an agreement with india to provide bases in case of war? Anyway, Pakistan should be prepared for any eventuality and balochistan is the ideal place for those bases, and it is empty as well.

Re: Shamsi Airbase

So all those who were laughing at the seriousness of the ultimatum given to Yanks to vacate Shamsi Airbase should come out and at least give some credit to our security establishment that they made a raging bully comply this time!

The penetration that Yanks have made within our country (media, politicians and even military) for the last 30-40 years will take some time to be cleaned. But small steps like this should always be appreciated!

Salute!

Re: Shamsi Airbase

Agree, however, the Pak civil and specially the military establishment should take extreme caution and take necessary precautionary steps for possible retaliation that could happen anytime at present or in near future, because by looking at the pattern of events in Pakistan's history, amreeki have taken revenge from any govt. in Pak in the past that has tried to look into their eyes.

Re: Shamsi Airbase

ppl from armed forces (air force, army) can better shed light on these basis..coz i knew abt shahbaz base with significantly large presence of americans. I even heard abt some NATO installations at dhamial camp. which is usually used by army aviation. so we civilians reli dont know wat our Armed Forces have sold/gifted to their Abba ji.
P.S
there MIGHT be the CIA/ISI safe houses in even smaller cities..although u can't term them as bases but they do have american presence..I dont know if they still exist after Raymond davis saga.
