Chalo bhaioo lets finish this because you guys are not trying to understand what I am saying.
Since you are go by the book type of guys , please show me where it says in Laws of cricket especially # 42 under which Afridi was charged that by changing the condition of the ball a player is not eligible to lead his team?
I haven't read Pakistan's constitution either but I still believe Zardari type people should be in jail, do you think my thinking/belief is wrong? A convict/criminal should NOT be given a lead role anywhere in my opinion.

I'm sure the constitution of Pakistan is in agreement with your thinking however for reasons we all know it is not enforceable when it comes to people like Zardari.
On the other, ICC laws are enforceable and that is why Afridi got the punishment. Now my question was where does it say that he cannot lead the side? I don't agree that he should be punished just on the grounds of morality and ethics and I have already given reasons why I think like that.
None of us are defending his actions, however his mistake and him leading the side in future are two separate issues and for some reason we are trying to mix them together.
He did accept and apologised for his actions, but the biggest blunder he did was by saying, "All the teams of the world do tamper the ball, but my method was the wrong one". That will not go well with any criketing body.

Its something like Qayyum's report on Wasim Akram :D
As for 'captaincy and mistake'... he did it as captain, aiming for future captaincy, not really for saving's Pakistan's reputation (win) otherwise he would've done it in series-loss-game :)
I agree with Yasir and Salman. he did something which was unacceptable and has been banned for it. Lets move on from here. he turned a bunch of loser into a fighting unit yesterday and has my full support as captain for all three formats of the game.
It is not as if this has happened for the first time the Englsih team was embroiled in it just a few weeks back, many past captains of various teams have been involved and caught.
Unacceptable, yes
Condemnable, yes
Over the top reaction at GS, no
Move on. he is your best bet, like it or not. Not perfect but still the best you got.
That is the reality ehsan bhai. Some people like it some don't, oh well too bad, for the people who dont like it.
Re: Shahid Afridi - sadly the only hope for Pakistan
" Pakistan captain Mohammad Yousuf has said Shahid Afridi has brought shame upon their country with his ball tampering act in the fifth and final one-day international against Australia in Perth. Yousuf said he was clueless about why Afridi did it and it brought a bad name to the country."…see who is talking about SHAME and PRIDE
Re: Shahid Afridi - sadly the only hope for Pakistan
well people have we left with any choices ! just like in politics or any other field we have no choice but to put same old faces in power, we simply have left with no other choice but to accept eventually mr.ball eater as our captain. but just to make sure he doesnt do this sort of thing again, lets take all his teeth out as a precondition for handing in the captaincy.
Re: Shahid Afridi - sadly the only hope for Pakistan
I wish he would'nt have done it...but considering his frustration with straight white wash in test and one day he should be given a break...and let him give a chance to bring Pride and Glory back to himself and team & nation...:)
He can do it...
I have already posted on his website and so should you too...
