In our family we eat ‘shaam ka nashta’ or tea time snack around 5 pm and these are some of my favourite sacks which my mum makes in batches and stores (apart from the ghugni)…Thank god I dont live at home or I would be obese!
Does your family have shaam ka nashta, and what do you eat?
In our family we eat breakfast at 7 a.m , lunch at 12 p,m and dinner at 6 p.m , no shaam ka nashta.
Aur bhee ghum hain zamanay main khanay k siwa.
Hakim Saeed was an advocate of eating only two times , to help country save and prosper. He wrote an article to promote that idea.
yeh biharis call it ghughni too. mmm biharis have some really tasty snacks and quick fix mouth-watering dishes. sigh.. i guess i'll eat this apple for now.

Because of my wife and mine weight watching habit we have stopped having shaam ka nashta over weekends too , which we used to.
whenever we are home [like on weekends and holidays] we do have something for the snack at ‘paune chai’ baje time [4:45 pm ] and that one or two item would include fruits, fruit chat, rusk cake, miThai or chaTpaTa like kachaaloo, chaaT, dahi bhalle etc. i LOVE afternoon tea time
