*If I won’t get the answers, how should I not ask the questions? Most of the people here are just directing me to read the Quran or read this Aayat and so on. Why can’t I discuss this logically in layman terms as I stated earlier? Infact, throughout page 2 of this thread, I have been asking just one question and no Muslim on this forum has been able to give me a logical answer. *
I did not say that you should not ask a question , I said you should not ask it if you do not wish to accept the answers.
Let me make it very simple my brother in Islam. Allah is the judge. Allah has commanded us to follow a religion. Islam. Those who follow it correctly will be given what they deserve, those who dont will also be given whatever they deserve. You can NOT sit here and ask us to make the decisions. Its all up to Allah.
People who were hit by the tsunami - that was something from Allah. Not all were sinners and not all were angels.
can anyone please convince me that Allah is forgiving?
Yeah. We’re still here, no natural disasters have hit. Alhamdulillah a bit happy and a bit healthy. Im assuming you are too. You need somebody to convince you that Allah is merciful and forgiving?
Yeah definately go read the Quran for - these are the basics. In order to accept Islam, one must agree to the fact that Allah is all merciful etc is in the Kalimah. You accept the kalimah?
As with most religions it comes down to faith that's why no one is going to answer your question in a manner you like and you'll find that faith and self-righteousness tend to go hand in hand.
And I can't tell you why you must put on your white Nike shoes and kill yourself in order to catch the mother ship behind the Halbop comet, that is just the way it is.
So once again, like the rest of us Muslims, we are selfish. We are selfish in thinking that we are here alive and happy and many other Muslims are dying through Tsunamis. We are selfish in thinking that no Hindu or Jew will be going to heaven, even if they are the most moral people on the planet. Is that not true?
Ok, Game. Here are the answers in logical terms for you. It is going to be cold hard facts so dont be offended.
You want to be spoonfed with the layman terms description of Quran without making any effort to learn what Quran says about issues such as this.
You admitted that when you read Quran, you cannot understand half of it. Is this something that a Muslim should be really proud of? But I digress…lets focus on the issue.
You keep asking the same question over and over again, when I and other folks have already supplied the answer, which is, non-believers will be rewarded for their good deeds in this world by Allah. I made it bold and red, just in case, you glaze over my post and miss this important tidbit.
Is this logical enough for you? Ok, I will say it again, “swine eaters” will be rewarded in this world for their good deeds. Hence they seem better off/wealthy, doing good/living a high life.
Ok, now the ayaths I quoted in layman’s terms. First the arabic and translation. I will highlight the important verses for the layman.
018.066 Moses said to him: “May I follow thee, on the footing that thou teach me something of the (Higher) Truth which thou hast been taught?” 018.067
018.067 (The other) said: “Verily thou wilt not be able to have patience with me!” 018.068 وَكَيْفَ تَصْبِرُ عَلَى مَا لَمْ تُحِطْ بِهِ خُبْرًا
018.068 “And how canst thou have patience about things about which thy understanding is not complete?”
018.069 Moses said: “Thou wilt find me, if Allah so will, (truly) patient: nor shall I disobey thee in aught.”
018.070 The other said: “If then thou wouldst follow me, ask me no questions about anything until I myself speak to thee concerning it.”
018.071 So they both proceeded: until, when they were in the boat, he scuttled it. Said Moses: “Hast thou scuttled it in order to drown those in it? Truly a strange thing hast thou done!” 018.072 قَالَ أَلَمْ أَقُلْ إِنَّكَ لَنْ تَسْتَطِيعَ مَعِيَ صَبْرًا
018.072 He answered: “Did I not tell thee that thou canst have no patience with me?”
018.073 Moses said: “Rebuke me not for forgetting, nor grieve me by raising difficulties in my case.” 018.074 فَانْطَلَقَا حَتَّى إِذَا لَقِيَا غُلامًا فَقَتَلَهُ قَالَ أَقَتَلْتَ نَفْسًا زَكِيَّةً بِغَيْرِ نَفْسٍ لَقَدْ جِئْتَ شَيْئًا نُكْرًا
018.074 Then they proceeded: until, when they met a young man, he slew him. Moses said: “Hast thou slain an innocent person who had slain none? Truly a foul (unheard of) thing hast thou done!”
018.075 He answered: “Did I not tell thee that thou canst have no patience with me?”
018.076 (Moses) said: “If ever I ask thee about anything after this, keep me not in thy company: then wouldst thou have received (full) excuse from my side.”
018.077 Then they proceeded: until, when they came to the inhabitants of a town, they asked them for food, but they refused them hospitality. They found there a wall on the point of falling down, but he set it up straight. (Moses) said: “If thou hadst wished, surely thou couldst have exacted some recompense for it!” 018.078 قَالَ هَذَا فِرَاقُ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنِكَ سَأُنَبِّئُكَ بِتَأْوِيلِ مَا لَمْ تَسْتَطِعْ عَلَيْهِ صَبْرًا
018.078 He answered: "This is the parting between me and thee: now will I tell thee the interpretation of (those things) over which thou wast unable to hold patience.
018.079 "As for the boat, it belonged to certain men in dire want: they plied on the water: I but wished to render it unserviceable, for there was after them a certain king who seized on every boat by force.
018.080 "As for the youth, his parents were people of Faith, and we feared that he would grieve them by obstinate rebellion and ingratitude (to Allah and man).
018.081 "So we desired that their Lord would give them in exchange (a son) better in purity (of conduct) and closer in affection.
018.082 “As for the wall, it belonged to two youths, orphans, in the Town; there was, beneath it, a buried treasure, to which they were entitled: their father had been a righteous man: So thy Lord desired that they should attain their age of full strength and get out their treasure - a mercy (and favour) from thy Lord. I did it not of my own accord. Such is the interpretation of (those things) over which thou wast unable to hold patience.”
The moral of the above is, we should ask ALLAH to guide us in the right path. There are certain events that take place which are beyond our understanding for one reason or another. However, if we are patient and obedient to ALLAH, HE will deliver us from trying times. Moses questioning the man regarding the killing and cpasizing of boat is quite similar to you asking why the poor msulims got killed in tsunami? Maybe Allah wanted all of them to be in Jannah, maybe if they did not die this way there could have been a bigger disaster which may have killed them in even more horrible way, or maybe it was just their time to go.
I hope it is clear to you after this long post. If it still does not make sense, ask more questions and I will do my best to answer.
May ALLAH guide all of us. Ameen.
what a bunch of crock..nothing AQ, MQ or any other Q has come up with has answered the kids questions. MQ, keeps talking in circles, AQ is convinced of his blinded confusion.
Game read their responses and then try to apply logic, capabilities given to you by allah and tell me, which model comes close to answering your query.
just for a record check Matsui unkil, I am convinced of the Book Quran because all my posts above were nothing but references. So, please, do not be confused and jump up and down if something that I believe does not match up with your own-made-logical-religion.
I am not jumping up and down AQ, I am pointing out that your interpretation of some other man's made up religion called islam is not able to answer a simple frigging query. that is the point.
the question is asked by a muslim and he should see who he is going to take advice of The one who does not believe in Islam as a divine religion but a man-made religion?
I guess, then sooor khaao te mojjaaN karo, sub Chaltahai
AQ would be in the forest hill jewish center if he was born in kew garden to Mr and Mrs, Shlomo weinstein. So game…he still hasn’t answered your question.
3- He gives us all the comforts of life and tests us and see if we are going to be thankful to Him or not?
4- He takes away all our comforts and tests us to see if we remember Him in our rainy days or not and how much patience we show and how much we stay loyal to His Lordship?
5- Anyone who does not believe in Him and His prophets is considered non-believer and whatever good deeds are performed by such a person bear NO FRUIT in hereafter; however He is not unjust. He gives the reward to those good deeds in this very world and that is the reason you are seeing SWINE EATERS getting all the comforts of life… and I again will refer to the hadeeth I mentioned before that This world is made paradise for non-believers…
6- On the contrary muslims by not performing good deeds are tested again and again but by testifying with tongues, they are not showing conviction of their belief within their hearts. They may very well be punished in life hereafter too. No wonder. I will refer to the other part of that hadeeth which says This world is a jail for a Believer. What is a jail? a place where you have so many restrictions. Exactly the same way, muslims are restricted to eat PORK.
So, since non-believers are not in a jail, this is a paradise for them. They can eat all they want and if they will do any good, then this world is the only place where they will get rewarded and hence the result.
I think this point is a little naive. "non-believers" do have restrictions. this world is not a paradise for everyone. People of all colours, races and creeds go through so much pain and suffering. These "non-believers" also have a faith system with restrictions. I think its very immature to think that WE the Muslims are in a "jail" while everyone else is a having a smashing good party. That is a very black and white way to look at things. I don't believe as a Muslim this life should be a jail for us. Is paradise a place where you can do anything? No! It has its restrictions too. Paradise is also a jail; without the negative connotations. The point is, we will NEVER receive true freedom, because God will not allow it; we are always in God's control, and hence slaves - prisioners....with or without the negative connotations (depending on your perspective on this issue)
