LAHORE: Despite public holiday in the country, the government of Punjab has transferred and appointed eight senior officers, including commissioners and secretaries today (Tuesday).
Capt (Retd.) Rao Iftikhar Ahmed has assumed the charge of Punjab Home Secretary.
According to notification issued by Punjab government Services Wing, Special Secretary for Local Bodies Tahir Hussain has been replaced by Zahid Saeed as Commission of Faisalabad. While Zahid Saeed has been appointed as Commissioner Rawalpindi.
Hasseb Athar has been asked to report to the Punjab Services department.
Besides, members of Punjab’s Board of Revenue Tariq Yousuf and Najam Saeed have also been transferred.
Wakil Ahmed has been appointed as DCO Dera Ghazi Khan while Tassaduq Hussain Bukhari was posted as RPO Sheikupura.

You are forgetting that PML Nawaz was in coalition govt in Punjab with PPP. PML Nawaz does not have enough votes to form a government on its own. PPP and PML (Q) have more votes in Punjab than PML Nawaz and PPP. If PPP and PML Q form a government in Punjab, they will be representing more people of Punjab than PML Nawaz and PPP together.
There is nothing illegal about what is happening in Punjab. Sharif brothers have been shown the red card as they are ineligible to hold office of CM of Punjab. Sharif brothers only want a Sharif family member to run Punjab. They could easily have forwarded another name for the CM position from PML Nawaz.
This is democracy.

Because no party in the assembly has the support of the majority of the Punjab Assembly.
The PML-N is a minority in the assembly - it will need to get another party to partner with it before the Assembly can be called to session.
