They donot allow non muslims to keep their religious scriptures in their own house for personal read; forget about idea of international.
No actually saudis are not starved at all, as I saw and occassionally heard they are quite active.
And yet yesterday I was at “trilogy” and “budiour” and had a blast of a time.
Aisha I respect your opinion but having laws only is not enough, the laws have to be implemented.
Look at the labor laws, are they implemented. NO, because that decreases the profits for the locals.
Look at the human rights. I remember when I was in the college in AUH we had a fight among the boys. We all were locked up for a day, police brings us a statement written in Arabic and just asked to sign, no translation, no explanation, no option. So in fact I dont really know what I signed for maybe it was my confession to ten other crimes. lolz. Anyway that taught me a lesson. But an excellent example of human rights though isn’t it?
Well bacha ji whoever said that to you was wrong.
Its just a glimpse of the human rights voilations. There must be hundreds more which are not reported. Its quite authentic, Human Rights Watch.
I don't know ppl. It seems like a bashing towards an Islamic sect and its rulings. May be too though on ummm modern Muslims and their chosen lifestyles.
Talk about the contradiction.
P.s I could never live in Saudi- a yet I do not deny that their version of Islam is actually pretty close to the intended religion.

That Islamic sect doesn't follow the traditional Islam, they came after 3 to 4 hundred years after the Prophet(SAW).
PS: I don't consider myself a modern muslim but a traditional one.
Read up on Sahabiya's lives who took part in wars and fought and took part in political process.

Wahan larkiyon kay abortion rates kam hain magar lebians kay rates barh rahe hain.
well,, i heard Israr Ahmed (a religious scholar) saying that on a tv channel.. apart from that,, evn though I am 4m pak I fully understand and speak ARABIC and I understand most of the Quran.. nyways,, i dnt wna argue.. cuz islam mein kabhi kabhi arguments karte karte kuch ghalati b ho sakti hai..
I'm tired of listening such silly things. This is what I call 'prejuidice'. Every country has it's own law & order noone critisizes the western culture and environment then why people spread rumours about the arab countries especially Saudi Arabia. I'm also a broad minded person and was born in KSA still come here every year, I never saw any sort of thing which can prove that women are bound or imprisoned. I believe that women here, are more secured than they are any country. This place is perfect for a woman to live. They don't drive then what is the big deal? People are bound to give respect to the ladies. Women are provided all the comforts of life they need. Saudi life for a woman has been exagerated and I simply don't agree with it.
As far as the education is concerned then Although they don't have good institutions for the foreiners. KAA University, King Fahad University are the best universities but only Saudi ppl are allowed to get addmisson there. The level of education has now been improved here.
